He assisted the Alliance agents sent to Stronghold to drive the Charon off, and was an important factor in the final victory against the Charon. It was Tor's experience with the initial Charon attack which helped the Alliance agents better understand their enemy. The three sisters managed a daring escape, forcing the pilot of an Imperial shuttle to take them to the Alliance, where they became some of the first Ebranites to serve. They served in Kesh Sector before joining the ranks of Scandium Team, where they founded the Sandstorm Unit of desert-environment Infiltrators. Rith was the only surviving member of the family following the Wellte-ir Massacre, as both Nyik and Tor'ara were killed near the Umber Banks. (SWJ11)

an obese, bald-pated Councilman from Kalarba, he tried to buy the MT-5 hyperdrive unit from Olag Greck. However, he was killed while testing one of Olag Greck's cheap imitations. (DRO)

Torbin
an Imperial Lord who served as one of Palpatine's Grand Inquisitors during the reign of the New Order. It was Torbin who was responsible for ousted the Church of the First Frequency from Otranto. He only survived the wrath of the disciples when he was rescued by the Tynnan, Odumin. After the rescue, Torbin moved to the planet Weerden, where he was killed when an assassin droid commandeered the Imperial shuttle Sark-I and deliberately crashed it into the Imperial palace. It was later learned that Torbin was the last of the Imperial Grand Inquisitors. (SWSB, CSA)

Torbul, Pianat
a native of the planet Corellia, this short, dark-haried man was Bria Tharen's commanding officer in the Corellian underground. It was Torbul who requested that Bria take everything should carry off Ylesia, provided the the Alliance's assault there was a success. When the Battle of Ylesia was over, Brian and her team took everything - artifacts, spice, credits - and turned them over to the Alliance. Torbul had learned that the Empire was planning to create something that would spell certain doom for the fledgling Alliance, and needed the funds to support the resistance on Ralltiir. He later asked red Hand Squadron to support the forces on Toprawa, as they worked to make sure that the plans to the first Death Star were beamed to Leia Organa aboard the Tantive IV. (RD)

Torel Vorne
this short, dark Reussi became the despicable crimelord who runs the industrially-polluted world of Reuss VIII. He cares little for the planet or his fellow Reussi, valuing profit and the bottom line above all else. He is also an efficient loan shark, and it rumored to take internal organs as payment of debts. These organs, it is rumored, are used to replace those worn out by his workers. This allows Vorne to keep increasing profits without losing workers. (GG9, SS)

Torel, Lyssa
this woman was a bureaucrat in the civilian government of the planet Endregaad, during the last years of the Old Republic. When Endregaad was blockade by the Corporate Sector Authority following the outbreak of the so-called Endregaad Plague, the civilian government collapsed under the strain of trying to help the populace survive. Torel herself went mad during the collapse, and barricade herself in her offices. However, she was one of the few humans who was naturally immune to the plague, and had little to fear from moving about the city. When she was questioned by the freelance agents working for Popara the Hutt - who were on Endregaad to locate Popara's offpsring, Mika - she blamed the Corporate Sectot Authority for all her troubles, and hinted that the CSA was somehow behind the Endregaad Plague. this Imperial Sergeant served as the senior watch officer on the first Death Star, monitoring the activities of the space station's command center. A vigilant officer, Torent was in command of external sensor monitoring and tracking of activity near the station. (CCG9)

Torg, Galen
this Alliance security officer was given honor guard duty at the ceremony on Yavin 4, following the Battle of Yavin. (CCG)

Torga
this Hutt crimelord worked from a base on Nar Shaddaa during the height of the New Order. He was known as a supplier of many things that were illegal evenon Nar Shaddaa, although potential buyers had to be cleared by his lieutenant, Nak Simm. Shortly after the Battle of Yavin, Torga was the target of a failed assassination attempt. He retreated into his fortress-like estate on Nar Shaddaa, and rarely showed himself in public. However, he continued to work toward forming an alliance with Jolla the Hutt, hoping to increase his profits while expanding his organization. Torga then decided to hire a group of freelance mercenaries to locate Nak Simm's killer and expose Moska - his former business partner and arch-rival - as the brains behind the assassination attempts. He presented their evidence to Jolla at a grand party, but Jolla merely shrugged it off, accusing Torga of tattling on a rival before hinting that he might join Moska instead. (WOA23, WOA24)

Torgas
this Sakiyan was a high-ranking member of the Assassin's Guild, during the height of the New Order. He served as the liaison between the Guild and Imperial General Emire, when the Empire wanted Leia Organa eliminated. When his hand-picked agents failed to assassinate Senator Organa, Torgas personally went after her. He intercepted Leia on Challon, but Gimlet and Giles Durane shot and killed him. It was later revealed that Durane had also been hired by General Emir, to eliminate Torgas and ensure Leia's death. (MCI3)

Torgo Tahn
this Anzati once tried to capture Aurra Sing, after a bounty was placed on her head during her early career as a bounty hunter. Tahn himself was physically attracted to Aurra Sing, and believed that she had been equally attracted to him. Tahn first encountered Aurra Sing when she was entrusted to the Anzati by Walla the Hutt, who wanted her trained to be an assassin. He went out of his way to become her teacher, despite the fact that she was not of the Anzati race. After completing Aurra Sing's training, Tahn killed Anis and fled the Anzati, hoping to find Aurra Sing and experience her beauty again. However, it was Tahn who was actually the hunted in this case. Aurra Sing had placed the bounty on her own head, as part of an elaborate scheme to claim the bounty which the Anzati people had placed on Tahn's own head for murdering Anis. Aurra Sing easily captured Torgo Tahn and returned him to his people for sentencing. (ASNG)

Torina
this planet was situated in the middle of the Elrood-Derilyn Trade Route, and was the last free stop along the run during the Empire's control of Elrood Sector. It was the primary world in the Torina System, located in the Elrood Sector. Much of the espionage that occurred in the sector during the Galactic Civil War was based on Torina. Its primary exports were cheap imitations of most products; many of the goods produced on Torina break down after they are purchased. It was the homeworld of the Torine race of near-humans, and was the site of several land-based and orbital starports. (PG3, OE)

Torina Discount Electronics, Incorporated
this electronics retailer provided a wide range of products at deep discounts to the residents of Elrood Sector, during the height of the New Order. Although smaller than Quality Electronics of Torina, their products were of a higher quality and, therefore, preferred by many residents of Elrood Sector. (OE, PG3)

Torine
this species of near-humans was native to the planet Torina. They were dedicated to preserving the ecosystem of their planet, and welcomed the increase in trade to their world after the Empire interdicted Derilyn and Berea. (PG3, OE)

Torize
this planet was located in Kathol Sector, along the Trition Trade Route between Kolatill and Kal'Shebbol. It was a planet whose economy was based on heavy manufacturing, and was orbited by a variety of space stations. (DARK)

Tork, Mir
this depraved, cold-blooded Imperial Admiral was known to have been one of the staunchest supporters of Emperor Palpatine's High Human Culture, a trait he admired in his own superior officer, Grand Admiral Pitta. To this end, Admiral Tork and his partner, Doctor Leonis Murthe', spent much of their careers subjugating and destroying entire alien civlizations. Admiral Tork was in command of the Azgoghk when he subjugated the Gulmarid civilization, and later fled to Malicar 3 in the wake of the Battle of Endor and the Alliance's defeat of the Azgoghk. There, he set about trying to recover the Azgoghk in order to start his own personal reign of terror. Unfortunately, Tork was hunted down and killed by Boba Fett, who had been hired by Slique Brighteyes to avenge the Gulmarids. (AOD, SWI66)

this stocky, dark-skinned man operated the Black Nova Tapcafe during the Galactic Civil War. (MTSE)

Torla, Kiras
this woman, a native of the planet Zalso, was one of the members of the Twilight Class of the Galactic Outdoor Survival School which included eight beings who became part of the Alliance's Eclipse Team. She was a close friend of Barosa Warren, and became good friends with many of the GOSS teachers and staff. Torla was believed to have fled the settled areas of the galaxy and established a home in Wild Space, in an effort to avoid Warren's hatred of the Twilight Class and the Alliance. (AIR)

this city, found on the planet Gavens, was where Joreb Goss and Isela Talsava Norand lived during the early years of their marriage. (SOL)

Torles, Jafer
this Jedi Knight was assigned to be a guardian for the Prackla Sector, and was based on the planet Cartao for the thirty years prior to the Clone Wars. He was seventy-two years old when the Battle of Geonosis took place, and had taken on a diplomatic role in place of the role of solider or warrior. However, he met his greatest challenge in the person of Pilester Binalie's young son, Corf, who revered Torles as an all-powerful, infallible Jedi. This image was shattered when the Separatists tried to take control of Spaarti Creations for their own use. Torles worked tirelessly with Commander Roshton and Kinman Doriana, trying to free the planet from Separatist control. In the end, however, even Master Torles' most ingenious plans were for naught. Just after Troles liberated Roshton and his men, a Republic gunship crashed into the main Sparti Creations facility, purposely killing its crew so that the facility would not fall into the hands of the Separatists. When it was later learned that the Jedi Knights had ordered the suicide mission, Torles found himself exiled from Cartao and the Binalie family. Unknown to Torles, however, was the fact that the gunship had actually been piloted remotely, by an agent working for Darth Sidious. By implicating the Jedi in the destruction of Spaarti Creations, Sidious created a groundswell of hatred toward the Jedi Knights. Torles, without this information, left Cartao to return to Coruscant, hoping to identify the Jedi who ordered the strike which caused so much damage. (SWI68, SWI70)

Torlnet, Rad
this man, a native of Neutra Four, served the Alliance during the height of the Galactic Civil War. He joined the Alliance after the Empire subjugated his homeworld. When his corvette was attacked by the huge Imperial probe droid 13-K, Torlent tried vainly to reach a communications console and warn the rest of the fleet. However, the probe droid managed to shoot him dead before any transmission could be made. (MC45)

Torlock
this Imperial Governor controlled the planet Corulag in the years following the Battle of Yavin. Torlock had been a staunch supporter of the Tarkin Doctrine, having been one of the first to join Tarkin's cadre. He believed he was to be the target of an Alliance assassination attempt, and had been replaced by a human replica droid along with his daughter, Frija. It was at this time that he learned of his real daughter's relationship with his closest advisor, Admiral Droon, and learned that they had portrayed him as a traitor to their superiors. The real Torlock fled Corulag only after activated the human replica droids. He was never heard from again. The droid Torlock was later captured by Droon's forces and imprisoned, but not before Droon and Darth Vader set in motion a plan to execute Torlock and blame the assassination on the Alliance. Droon also attempted to eliminate the droid Frija, but she was saved from destruction by Jix, who had been sent to Corulag by Vader to execute Torlock. Jix then found and rescued the droid Torlock, and took them to Coruscant along with Droon. Once there, Jix allowed them to flee Coruscant and the Empire, but they were forced to hide out on Hoth. When Luke Skywalker crashed on the planet after returning from Aridus, he encounter the droid Torlock and Frija. The yearsof hiding weren't kind to the droid Torlock, and its feelings for both the Empire and the Alliance deteriorated into contempt and loathing of both sides of the conflict. Torlock's droid believed Luke would be their undoing, and tried to kill him. Instead, his blast hit his daughter, the droid Frija, and killed her. Luke retaliated by slicing the droid Torlock in two with his lightsaber. Luke, in term, returned to the Alliance with the location of the planet Hoth. (SST, CSW)

Torlock, Frija
this daughter of Imperial Governor Torlock was secretly plotting with Torlock's most trusted advisor, Admiral Droon, to execute her father and take control of the planet Corulag. Torlock suspected that the Alliance was a great threat, and had human replica droids created of himself and Frija. When Torlock learned that Frija and Droon had told Darth Vader that he was a traitor to the Empire, Torlock fled Corulag and activated the droids. The droid Torlock was captured by Droon and Frija and imprisoned, but their plan to execute Torlock was still in motion. Vader had sent Jix to execute Torlock, but he instead encountered the droid Frija. She was about to be destroyed by Droon's agents, but Jix rescued her and learned of the plots. Jix was eventually captured by Droon, but not before meeting the droid Torlock. Droon and Frija attempted to remove both of them by feeding them to the dragon snakes that live in the caves of Corulag, but they escaped and returned to confront Droon. In the midst of the struggle, Droon shot and killed the real Frija before being captured by Jix. Jix then took Droon and the two human replica droids to Coruscant. He allowed the droids to take a shuttle and flee Coruscant, and they decided to hide out on Hoth. The droid Frija encountered Luke Skywalker when he was forced to land on the planet shortly after leaving the planet Aridus. The droid Torlock tried to kill Luke, but Frija's droid intervened, taking a blaster bolt meant for Luke. Frija was mortally wounded. Luke retailiated, slicing the father in two with his lightsaber. It was then that Luke discovered she and her father were droids. The droid Frija was unable to remain active as a result of the damage from the blaster bolt, and expired before Luke could save her. Luke then returned to the Alliance with the location of the planet. (CSW, SST)

Torpedo Sphere
manufactured by Loronar, the torpedo sphere was a seige platform designed to destroy planetary defense systems. It was considered by many historians to have been the forerunner to the Death Star space station. It had thousands of dedicated energy receptors positioned on its surface, which were used to analyze shield emissions and discover weak points. When it discovered holes in a planet's shields, the 1,900-meter ship would use some or all of its 500 proton torpedo launchers (arranged on its lower hemisphere) to punch a hole in a planet's protective shielding. If they were programmed correctly (which is not an easy feat, and it takes hundreds of technicians to operate them all), the torpedoes will briefly open a section of the planet's shield to turbolaser bombardment. The torpedo sphere is equipped with 10 turbolaser batteries for just this purpose. The torpedo sphere is manned by a crew of 63,275, and can transport up to 8,540 troops. (ISB)

this was one of the many starship producers who were contracted by the Old Republic to develop and manufacture starfighters for the navies that supported the Grand Army of the Republic, during the height of the Clone Wars. (JT)

Torpin
this Imperial Moff was a short, stout man who was on the fact-track to Moff status, but never served in the military. He commanded no respect from his subordinates. He was one of the two Moffs with territories bordering the Maelstrom. Along with his compatriot Vanko, Torpin submitted falsified budgets and financial reports to the Empire to try and hide the fact that he was losing a great deal of money to the Riders of the Maelstrom. The last reports he sent were covering up nearly 25% losses. He and Vanko met in secret on the planet Aris, then boarded the Kuari Princess to discuss what their next moves would be. Both believed that the pirates were in league with the Alliance, and were planning to a major offensive against them. Vanko and Torpin barely escaped from the Kuari Princess after it was hijacked by the Riders and rescued by Alliance agents. (RM)

this one-time assistant to the Imperial Consular-General of the planet Adarlon was responsible for the intense crack-down and purging of the entertainment business on the planet. He quickly and efficiently destroyed all forms of free speech, and censored everything produced on the planet. He blacklisted a huge number of artists for their even marginally anti-Imperial works. A pudgy, dark-skinned human, Torsh had a distinguished career in Imperial service before his assignment in the Minos Cluster. He had a large ego, and did not tolerate corruption or disregard for Imperial law. (GG6)

Torsha Dawun
this blurry-eyed Ithorian female owned and operated the Meirm Speeder Emporium during the height of the Galactic Civil War. Like many other vehicle dealers, Torsha installed a homing beacon-style locator on every vehicle in her lot, in case they were ever stolen. (SSR)

Torshan, Palo
this member of the Alliance served under General Dodonna during the occupation of Massassi Base on Yavin 4. A Major in the Alliance's military structure, Torshan was part of the group that planned the Battle of Yavin. He later served as the Alliance's security coordinator at Echo Base on Hoth. (CCG9)

The business proved to be only marginally profitable, despite Torsteen's best efforts. It was later discovered that the droid, Bruthus, had been saving the best salvage for itself, and selling it for its own profits. (SWJ10)

Torsyn, Ryle
this Alliance starfighter pilot flew a Y-Wing while stationed with Pops' squadron on Dantooine. He had been recruited by Garven Dreis, and was the responisble for the discovery of the secret device that led the Empire to Dantooine originally. Torsyn was instrumental in the evacuation of the base prior to the Alliance's creation of the base on Yavin 4, and later flew as Gold 3 during the Battle of Yavin. (CCG9)

this six-legged tortoise was one of the few species which survived the industrialization of the planet Bonadan. The shell of the tortapo was often used - or replicated - for use in creating high-fashion glasses and personal grooming tools. (EGP, BF6)

this smuggler was the owner of the Etherway, during the early years of the New Republic. A native of the planet Corellia, Torve had been in debt to Jabba the Hutt before obtaining a generous loan from Talon Karrde. He signed on with Karrde shortly after the Battle of Endor, working off his loan payments. For part of his career, Torve smuggled food and supplied to the rebel Gados who wanted to remain free of governmental control. He served as Karrde's liaison to Han Solo and Lando Calrissian about five years after the Battle of Endor, when the pair was looking for a way to invite Karrde and his organization to take up a legitimate shipping operation in support of the New Republic. He later served as one of Shirlee Faughn's gunners on the Starry Ice. (HTTE, SOP)

this Outer Rim world is the fourth planet in the Atrig System. It is covered with swamplands, and has a single moon. (PG2)

Torvon
this tall craniopod served as Nien Nunb's Second Administrator at the spice mines of Kessel, some ten years after the mines were liberated from Moruth Doole. Torvon was secretly working for Czethros, and was part of the Black Sun lieutenant's plan to take control of the galaxy. Torvon's roles invovled eliminating Nien Nunb and paving the way for Czethros to overtake the mines. However, when Torvon tried to kill Nunb by holding him in molten carbonite, he slipped and fell into the stream of super-cold material himself. Torvon's legs froze solid and cracked, spilling his torso into a pool of carbonite. As Torvon fell forward, his entire body shattered into a million frozen pieces. (CCR)

this Imperial Interdictor cruiser patrolled the Noonian Sector, under the command of Gresia Vleen, during the height of the Galactic Civil War. (SWJ2)
