this planet was continually at war with its neighbor, Hyabb, almost from the beginning of the Old Republic. In what became known as the Hyabb-Twith Campaigns, the ancient Jedi Knights ousted the Nelroni Marauders and freed the planet from their oppression. (TOJC)

Twofingers, Gerlon
this man was one of the many gladiator fighters chosen by Ajuur the Hutt to compete in his events, during the height of the Great Sith War. Gerlon was not an exceptional fighter, but served to soft up opponents for later fighters. He was given the name Twofingers after an accident in the gladiator ring cost him two fingers. (KOTOR)

Two-headed Tortuce
native to the planet Canastra IV, this two-headed amphibian was one of the few multi-brained creatures found in the Core region. Resembling a turtle with two necks, the two-headed tortuce had several different subspecies, each adapted to a different biosphere. One species lived deep in the ocean, while another lived on land. They lacked any real predators, and could live for more than 100 standard years. While not aggressive, tortuces were killed for their tasty flesh. This harvest was made simple by the fact that they lived in large groups and were generally slow-moving. The government of Canastra IV has tried unsuccessfully to ban the harvest of this unusual creature. (COG)

Twolz
this smuggler was Dannen Lifehold's mentor. A decent man, Twolz took in Lifehold after discovering the youth stowed away on his ship. Twolz taught Lifehold everything he knew, and provided his with a brief history of the galaxy. He was killed by Imperial stormtroopers on Niian, along with most of his crew. He was survived by Lifehold and Krell. (SWJ1)

Twomi Skyfire
this sleek starship was built during the early years of the New Republic. It had room for six passengers, and was designed with speed and agility in mind. (TT)

this young Rodian was one of the many students of Luke Skywalker's new Jedi order, during the years following the Yuuzhan Vong invasion of the galaxy. (DN1)

Twoseas, Lilit
this woman was a Jedi Master, and a contemporary of Qui-Gonn Jinn. She was part of the team dispatched to Yibikkoror to search out the Yinchorri command center, during the Jedi's attempt to eliminate the threat of the Yinchorri warriors. After learning that the Yinchorri base was not on Yibikkoror, the Jedi traveled to Yinchorr itself to locate it. During an intense struggle to reach Mace Windu and his team, Lilit gave her life for K'Kruhk, taking a Yinchorri blade through her midsection to allow the padawan to escape. (AOW)

Two-wave Gravshock Device
this Imperial weapon, which can be housed inside the shell of a Torpedo Sphere, localizes a nearby planet's gravitational field, causing artificial earthquakes and other seismic disasters. While incredibly effective, these devices are also incredibly expensive to power. The localization of the planet's gravity also caused nearby starships, including the torpedo sphere, to experience rapid and random orbital shifts, making the weapon dangerous to use. (ISB)

TX-1118
this series of assassin droids was produced by MerenData for use by the Empire. Roughly humanoid in shape, the TX-1118 was designed with a variety of on-board weapons systems. It was originally marketed as a solider but was priced too high, and MerenData found themselves with a surplus of droids in their warehouses. In order to recover their development costs, MerenData reprogrammed the droids to eliminate the ethics programming and turn the TX-1118 into an assassin that would kill any being they were told to. This droid, known as the Terminax, was armed with a blaster rifle in one arm and a fragmentation grenade launcher in the other. The TX-1118 was known for its loyalty. Note that the Arms and Equipment Guide indicates that this droid was developed by MerenData Termina. Also note that Wretched Hives of Scum and Villiany indicates that the TX-1118 was built by Terminax. (WSV, AEG)

TX-130
this was the basic model of Saber-class fighter tank produced by Rothana Heavy Engineering during the Clone Wars. Developed for use by the clone troopers of the Army of the Republic, the 8.2-meter-long tank was an example of the speed at which Rothana was able to take a prototype and bring it to full production. The TX-130 could perform a number of different missions, from defending perimeters to leading hit-and-run attacks. These craft were armed with a pair of heavy laser cannons, a turret-mounted medium double-laser cannon, and a thermal detonator missile launcher. Other weapons configurations were also possible, depending on the specific arena into which the TX-130 was deployed. In addition to a modified Phase 3 deflector shield generator, the TX-130 had reactive composite hull plating, giving it exceptional protection for those brief periods when the shields were recharging. The TX-130 required a pilot, navigator, and a gunner to operate, and could move across the battlefield at speeds aproaching 190 kilometers per hour. The Jedi Knights also used their own versions of the TX-130 tank, often modifying them for their own use. One the most common of these modifications was the use of an astromech droid in place of the gunner station, providing navigation capabilities during solo missions. (OWS, WOTC)

TX-130S
this was one of the many variants on the high-powered Saber-class repulsor tank that was produced by Rothana Heavy Engineering, in support of the clone troopers of the Army of the Republic. One of the most versatile vehicles in the Old Republic's arsenal during the Clone Wars, the TX-130S was armed with a pair of heavy laser cannons and a missile launcher. One of the more devastating weapons it could launch was a computer-guided missile that was armed with a thermal detonator in its nosecone. (SWI62, OWS)

this TX-series assassin droid had a "change of heart" during the early years of the New Republic. It renounced its assassin programming and decided that life - whether organic or not - was too precious to waste. This made interacting with living beings difficult, since TX-A1 was immediately recognized as a killer. During the Yuuzhan Vong invasion of the galaxy, TX-A1 worked independently from the New Republic, but used its skills to save other beings and eliminate any Yuuzhan Vong threats. (AEG)

Txer
this Psadan was the leader of the Free People, who fought against the Yuuzhan Vong who took control of the planet Wayland some twenty-five years after the Battle of Endor. It was Txer who befriended Uldir Lochett, when the human traveled to Wayland to recover Klin-Fa Gi. Although Uldir proved himself to be the enemy of the Psadan's enemies, Txer refused to assist him in capturing Gi. Instead, the Psadans helped him in order to keep an eye on his activities. Later, when the Uldir and Klin-Fa Gi were confronted with a huge contingent of Yuuzhan Vong warriors, Txer gave his own life to ensure that Uldir escaped. He and his clan set up a rope ladder for the two humans to climb, while Txer himself confronted the alien invaders to hold them off. (GMR10, SWI62)

Txs-431
this Sienar Fleet Systems flight control console was used on many Star Destroyers as well as both Death Stars. It was designed to simplify the work of hangar bay personnel, offloading the tasks of directing launches, docking, and boarding duties. (EGW)

Ty, Donher
this man worked as a technician for Centa Sonhan, during the height of the New Order. He spent much of his time working on her sail barge, and developed a relationship with the droids who served him. (WOA5)

TY44
this was one of the many moons that orbited the planet Typha-Dor. It was also one of the most obscure moons, and was named for its designation on starcharts. However, shortly before the onset of the Clone Wars, TY44 served as the primary outpost for the rebels who were fighting against the aggression of the Vanqors. A small base was established deep beneath TY44's ice-covered surface, until it was betrayed by Mezdec. Then, only the efforts of Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi and his apprentice, Anakin Skywalker, helped the Typha-Dor people establish a cease-fire with the Vanqors. (JQ7)

this planet was one of the many thousands which made up the Old Republic, during its last century of history. It was located in the Mid Rim, and was the primary world in the Vvan System. (LOJ)

Tybis
the tybis was a gentle beast of burden native to the planet J't'p'tan. Resembling a large, shaggy bear, the tybis was descended from a species of vicious predators. Quite often, individuals would revert back to their savage roots, attacking their owners and causing great harm. During the winter months, tybis herds had to be released into the wild to hibernate. In the valley surrounding the Temple of the Infinite Spirit, huge groups of tybis would sleep in great piles during the winter. The predatory instincts of the tybis were often brought immediately to bear when they were awakened from this sleep. (EGP, WOTC)

this Jedi Master served as one of the many teachers who remained at the Jedi Temple on Coruscant, during the height of the Clone Wars. Master Tycho's classes centered on his knowledge of military strategy and tactics. He dedicated one entire class to the disaster at Honoghr, and challenged his students to determine what went wrong and suggest recommendations for actions that might have prevented it. (YDR)

the only planet in the Kantel System, it is a huge gas giant that supports life among its clouds. The planet's average rotation lasts 26 standard hours, and its year lasts 335 local days. (SN)

a CR90 Corellian Corvette owner by Gryseium Incorporated. (SN)

Tyerle
this woman was the Alliance agent Tiree's sister. A strong-willed woman with intense family values, she and her husband settled on Questal to escape the pressures of the New Order. Her husband, Rogan, was just as fiery, and when the Empire installed Moff Bandor to rule the planet, he began setting up resistance cells. He was eventually caught by Bandor, which prompted Tyerle to call for Tiree's help. Tiree was also caught by Bandor's hurlothrumbic generator, until a group of Alliance agents was able to rescue both men. (GCQ)

Tyestin, Iskit
this alias was used by Wes Janson to infiltrate the city of Revos, on Storinal, shortly before the Night Caller was to rendezvous with the Hawkbat. Tyestin was an exiled Imperial Senator from Bakura, who was raising funds to support the Bakuran Loyalist Movement. He was accompanied by three bodyguards: Anen, who was actually Atril Tabanne; Honiten, who was actually Falynn Sandskimmer; and Voort saBinring. The alias was, in fact, based on a real person. The real Tyestin was indeed a supporter of the New Order, but died when his shuttle was destroyed while he fled the New Republic forces on Bakura. His death had not been logged on the Imperial data network yet. (WS)

this Polosich was a passenger on the Kuari Princess when it was hijacked by the Riders of the Maelstrom. (RM)

TYE-Wing
this Ugly, also known as the DIE-Wing because of its poor performance, consists of a TIE Fighter's cockpit mounted on the engine pods of a Y-Wing. It is rare to find one, since it suffered from incredibly poor handling - which it inherited from the construction required to mount the cockpit to the engines - and had no shields. In certain circles, these Uglies were also known as TYE Fighters or TIE-Y Uglies. (KT, IJ, PP)

Tyffix
this unusual alien (a Gand?) was one of the many Jedi Masters who were sent into battle as Generals within the Grand Army of the Republic, during the height of the Clone Wars. Master Tyffix, accompanied by his Padawan Cal, were sent to Thustra with Jedi Master Tyr and his own apprentice, Pix, in an effort to force the native Sephi to stand down. However, the Sephi had other ideas, and their savage attacks quickly decimated the Republic's forces. A suicide bomber managed to infiltrate their command center, and both Tyffix and Tyr were killed in the blast. (J5)

TYI Flex-Armor
this form of personal armor was manufactured by Drolan Plasteel some 4,000 years before the Battle of Yavin, and was made from steel-reinforced plastics which allowed it to be slightly flexible yet able to withstand blaster fire and small projectiles. (TOJC)

Tyia
a philosophy brought to the planet Revyia some 30 years before the Battle of Yavin by a trader. The Tyia holds a strong regard for life and peace, which struck a chord with the Revwien race. It has been described as an alterate method of coming to know The Force, as the Tyia teaches that introspective reflection is the way to learn the true way of the universe. Students learn to control their own personal Force (known as the Tyia) through meditation and ceremony. (RPG, GG12)

Tyionsis Cex
this Srrors'tok bounty hunter served High Inquisitor Tremayne during the height of the Galactic Civil War. Originally a native of Sellasas, Cex watched as the Alliance wiped out a village of his people in an effort to destroy the Imperial garrison on the planet. Cex was rescued by Amara Jedselk, who eventually gave him the name of Tyionsis Cex. Amara's father offered Cex the chance to serve the Empire and strike back at the Alliance, and Cex readily agreed. He became an Imperial bounty hunter, and faithfully served the commands of Jedselk and Tremayne. (GG10)

Tykannin Drive
this was a small starship manufacturer operative during the New Order. (PG3)

Tyko Mez
this was a noted individual from Vorzydiak history. (GORW)

Tyl the Deplorable
this ancient Trunsk was known to have been a military genius, and was the first leader to conquer the entire planet of Trunska. Tyl then turned his army into a police force, and suddenly discovered that the funds which were going into the planetary wars waged by the Trunsks were quite substantial. Tyl began saving them, and eventually developed plans to foster the creation of new technologies. (SWJ13)

Tylcarros
this was the capital city of the planet Cona, and the base of operations for the Arconan Grand Nest. (HNN5)

Tyler
this young boy lived in the same building as Jaren and Cilia Dil, some twenty-three years before the Battle of Geonosis. Qui-Gon Jinn befriended the boy during his attempt to locate Jaren. (LOJ)

Tylerin Embankment
located on the eastern seas of the planet Archais, this headlands was the site of a heated battle between Alliance forces, Imperial forces, and the Assassin's Guild. It was during this battle that Mosara Thiirn defected from Alliance service, turning herself over to Lieutenant Covell. (AIR)

Tyluun Nightsoarer
this was a race of blue-skinned humanoids, distinguished by their pointed ears and the wings which served them as arms. As a race, Tyluun Nightsoarers were known for their cunning and stealth, qualities which made them invaluable to the underworld of the galaxy as silent assassins. (MC22)

one of the Corellian orhpans rescued from Ylesia by Han Solo and Chewbacca, he was a young boy. (RD)

Tymp
this nocturnal omnivore was native to the planet Serat. Originally thought to be found only in the forests of the planet, tymps have adapted themselves to living in urban areas, scavenging food from any source they could locate. Tymps were especially fond of eating roti, and often destroyed the storehouses of the grain maintained by the native Seratians. Native populations of tymps continue to grow however, because the Seratians hunt their only known predator, the symer, in order to obtain their organs and appendages for use in charms and potions. Thus, the tymp population exploded, placing a great strain on the supplies of roti. (COG)

Tympanic
this humanoid female was a mercenary employed by Moff Bandor and placed into the Game Chambers of Questal. She was there as one of the chambers' denizens, ambushing hapless prisoners forced into the chambers. She wore one of the special helmets used to block out the waves of the hurlothrumbic generator. She tried to win the confidence of the prisoners forced into the chamber, then killed them when they were most helpless. (GCQ)

Tympanic Pulser
this was a form of drum used by the Ruurians. Like other Ruurian musical instruments, tympanic pulsers were worn on the body, freeing one set of arms to play additional instruments. (HSL)

Tynan Ryln Mei
this Togorian was one of the few females who ever permanently left her homeworld to travel the galaxy. Tynan also served the Alliance as a field agent within the Intelligence division, and was the leader of Eclipse Team's Storm Squadron shortly before the Battle of Hothy. She was rescued from an operation gone sour by Dutra Zeneta. (SWJ10, AIR)

Tyndos, Sheyne
this woman was part of the rebel underground on Elerion, serving under General Orma Hundeen during the height of the Galactic Civil War. She posed as one of the Quetzal Sisters to help Leia Organa recover a valuable holocube on Elerion, shortly after the Battle of Yavin. (T15)

Tyne, Marko
a native of Zygeria, this man was wanted in nine different star systems during the height of the New Order, until he was shot and killed by Valance the Hunter, sometime after the Battle of Yavin. (MC27, SWMW)

Tyne, Vardias
this man lived on Tatooine during the height of the New Order. (GQRG)

Tyne, Vost
this Imperial Navy Admiral retired from active duty shortly before the Battle of Yavin, having commanded a Star Destroyer for the Emperor. Tyne was also a student of the Dark Side of the Force under Darth Vader himself, and many believe it was Vader who talked Tyne into retiring. After retiring, Tyne returned to serve the Empire when he killed Arviz Linden, the director of the hyperbaride plant on Marca, and took control himself. Tyne reported directly to Aaz'del Hutrick during this time, and increased the plant's production immensely. Using the Dark Side of the Force, Tyne discovered that the Sertim sisters had decided to assist the Alliance, and had made contact with a team which had crash-landed on Marca. He laid a trap for them, capturing Darci Sertim and using her as a hostage while placing Marci in prison. The sisters were rescued by the Alliance team shortly before the hyperbaride plant exploded. It was unknown whether or not Tyne survived the explosion. (POM)

Tyne's Horky
this dusty, remote planet was located in the Teraab Sector of the galaxy, and was the location of the Doodnik Cafe. The planet was the site of many mining operations, and it was here that Imperial forces obtained nergon 14. It was here that R2-D2 and C-3PO ended up, after they fled the employment of Thall Joben and Jord Dusat. Much of the planet's industry was based on mining operations during the early years of the New Order. (DCAR, HNN4, SWDB, SWMW)

Tynial
this male Devaronian worked as an infochant on Brentaal. He was sympathetic to the Alliance, and worked as a waiter at the Pathlines Tapcafe in order to better obtain information. He was arrested by Imperial forces shortly after the crew of the Far Orbit as discovered to be looking for him. Note that The Far Orbit Project also refers to this Devaronian as "Tynian." (FOP)

Tynna
this aquatic planet was the primary planet in the Tynnani System and was the homeworld to the Tynnan race. The waters of the planet were quite frigid, forcing many native species to develop layers of blubber or fat to maintain their warmth. The planet was overtaken by the Yuuzhan Vong during the Battle of Tynna, and reshaped to serve as a living factory for their unusual bio-technology. (HSR, AE, JE, GMR8)

Tynna Central Government Building
this building was located in the heart of the city of Lutris, on the planet Tynna, until an infestation of stone mites caused it to collapse. The building imploded shortly before the onset of the Clone Wars, throwing the Tynnan government into a spin and giving it reason to secede from the Old Republic. (HNN5)

Tynnan
this was of seal-like humanoids was native to Tynna. The average Tynnan had a sleek pelt and a thick, tapering tail. Their hands and feet were webbed, allowing them full motion in or out of the water. Their pointed ears lay close against their skulls, and their long, moist snouts were filled with protruding buckteeth. Although the eyesight of a Tynnan was considered poor, their sense of hearing was quite acute. Like most other creatures found on Tynna, the Tynnans' bodies maintained a layer of blubber to help maintain their body temperature. As a race, the Tynnans were quite wealthy, but individuals were required to pay their dues to a state-run government that provided the necessities free of charge. Those Tynnans who desired to work for a living took on professions as artists or scientists. They were curious about the galaxy at large, and many Tynnans traveled the stars in search of new locations. As a people, Tynnans tended to be frivolous, but they were also known to be pragmatic planners. (HSR, AE)

this was a series of small battles fought between the Empire and the Alliance, early in the Galactic Civil War. (SWJ11)

this ancient scanner was developed for use on droids, to allow the droid to search for traps and security measures. (KOTOR)

Type 5 Mine
developed and manufactured by Imperial Munitions, this 5-meter-long defense drone was a stationary mine with active and passive sensor systems. It was armed with a single laser cannon and a concussion missile launcher. It fired on a target after it detected the target was not broadcasting on a pre-defined transponder signal. (FOP)

Type 7 Hyperdrive
this model of Haor Chall hyperdrive core was developed for use on the Silver-class starship. They were often referred to as Silver-class engines, and were classified as Class 1 hyperdrives. Many of these drive systems were used on the original Sekotan starships produced on Zonama Sekot, during the years following the Battle of Naboo. Note that The New Essential Guide to Vehicles and Vessels indicates that the Silver-class engine was used for sublight transport. (RP, UF, NEGV)

Type A Pulse-wave Rifle
this large, pulse-wave weapon was produced by Greff-Timms Industrial some four millennia before the Galactic Civil War. It was a long, heavy weapon which lost its accuracy after just a few tens of meters. (TOJC, AEG)

Type I Light Duty Station
designed and manufactured by Rendili StarDrive, this small space station platform was designed for primarily civilian use. It measured 250 meters across, and was manned by a crew of 200 officers and 18 gunners. The platform facility had room to accommodate 100 passengers, and could carry 50 metric tons of cargo and six months of consumables. (HAS)

Type IV
this starship restraining net was produced by SoroSuub during the height of the New Order. It was basically a modified and updated conner net, capable of being deployed in space or atmosphere as well as on the ground. (PP)

Type IV-A Stardock
developed and manufactured by Kuat Drive Yards, this orbital stardock measured 1,900 meters across and was armed with eight turret-mounted turbolasers. It required a crew of 200 officers and 24 gunners to operate, and could accommodate up to fifty laborers and 5,000 metric tons of supplies or cargo. The Type IV-A was large enough to handle repairs on an Imperial-class Star Destroyer. (SWJ5)

Type-12A
this was a Locris Syndicates rocket dart produced for use with the RDP-12 rocket launcher. (GG10)
