this Imperial Navy Admiral retired from active duty shortly before the Battle of Yavin, having commanded a Star Destroyer for the Emperor. Tyne was also a student of the Dark Side of the Force under Darth Vader himself, and many believe it was Vader who talked Tyne into retiring. After retiring, Tyne returned to serve the Empire when he killed Arviz Linden, the director of the hyperbaride plant on Marca, and took control himself. Tyne reported directly to Aaz'del Hutrick during this time, and increased the plant's production immensely. Using the Dark Side of the Force, Tyne discovered that the Sertim sisters had decided to assist the Alliance, and had made contact with a team which had crash-landed on Marca. He laid a trap for them, capturing Darci Sertim and using her as a hostage while placing Marci in prison. The sisters were rescued by the Alliance team shortly before the hyperbaride plant exploded. It was unknown whether or not Tyne survived the explosion.
