this TX-series assassin droid had a "change of heart" during the early years of the New Republic. It renounced its assassin programming and decided that life - whether organic or not - was too precious to waste. This made interacting with living beings difficult, since TX-A1 was immediately recognized as a killer. During the Yuuzhan Vong invasion of the galaxy, TX-A1 worked independently from the New Republic, but used its skills to save other beings and eliminate any Yuuzhan Vong threats.
