this unusual alien (a Gand?) was one of the many Jedi Masters who were sent into battle as Generals within the Grand Army of the Republic, during the height of the Clone Wars. Master Tyffix, accompanied by his Padawan Cal, were sent to Thustra with Jedi Master Tyr and his own apprentice, Pix, in an effort to force the native Sephi to stand down. However, the Sephi had other ideas, and their savage attacks quickly decimated the Republic's forces. A suicide bomber managed to infiltrate their command center, and both Tyffix and Tyr were killed in the blast.
