Crimelords

Arnot

Arnot is an Annoo-dat gangster whose major rivals were Sise Fromm, another Annoo-dat gangster but of a different sub-species, and Jabba Desilijic Tiure. After Sise Fromm's capture by Boba Fett for Jabba, Arnot took over Fromm's assets and underground base on Ingo. Now only Jabba is in the way for control of the market in the Outer Rim.

Like many ganglords, Arnot uses the services of smugglers to carry illegal goods to some of his "business associates". One of those smugglers, Aarack Starlighter, was a valuable asset. But Arnot has grown increasingly frustrated with Starlighter's lack of assignments. Arnot feels the smuggler should make himself more available for jobs, as he seems to have a knack for flying into Imperial-heavy zones. But Starlighter hasn't contacted Arnot in weeks now, and the gangster is starting to consider getting his ship back. After all, the Noble Wolf is still his as Starlighter hasn't come close to pay off the ship with his services.

Aarack and his Rebel friends mounted a raid against Arnot's base. With information from Trossk and Bleedo, prisoners at the Alliance HQ, and a new friend on the inside, Rath'dar the Jawa, the Rebels managed to take over the base. None of the many starfighters, security droids or henchmen could stop the Rebels from capturing Arnot and collect the bounty offered by Jabba the Hutt.

Bounty Hunters

Gida Luroon

Gida Luroon is a Twi'lek female bounty hunter. She was just about to leave Ord Mantell one day, when she intercepted a transmission regarding Renci Tosh's escape. Hoping to make a few credits, Luroon decided to track her down and cash in on the (admittedly small) reward put up for her. She has no idea of Renci Tosh's Rebel connections.

Unfortunately for Luroon, Renci Tosh had the heroes to protect her. After clashing with them a few times, Luroon was left unconscious and weaponless in the deserted mesas of Ord Mantell, at the mercy of roaming Savrips.

Oquan

The Oquan are a group of bounty hunters based on Naalol. They number less than two dozens since they lost a third of their people, ships, and equipment in a high-paying job to capture a Hutt. The resources are also diminished since they had to spend every credit fixing themselves back up and to pay off some Hutts who were suddenly very interested in seeing them eliminated.

One day, they observed a battle from the planet's surface. An Imperial Customs Cruiser damaged a freighter who crashed down somewhere in the mountains. Short on cash and recognizing an opportunity, they sent a MandalMotors Shadow V Combat Airspeeder to the crash site. The Oquan discovered the pilot alive and full of fight. After a brief battle, they managed to subdue the pilot and discovered a cargo of six turret droids inside the ship. Figuring there must have been a reason the ship was shot down, they planned on selling the pilot, who unknown to them was a Rebel agent named Talnar, to the Imperials for a few quick and easy credits.

Ever opportunistic, they were inclined to bargain if they received a better offer. When the heroes contacted them, they arranged a meeting at docking bay 22 in Rigton Spaceport. Of course, the swap was a trap. The Oquan planned to take the heroes' money and turn them over to the Empire for a reward. Unfortunately for them and the Imperials, the heroes rescued Talnar and he proceeded to activate the droids.

The Oquan's new leader is Rel Acoi. The two lieutenants are Selana and "Patch", named for the credit chip he wears on his eyepatch. Some members of the Oquan use jetpacks in attack tactics.

Beylyssa

Little is known of Beylyssa's origins. Some say she is the daughter of an Imperial Advisor, others believe she's a super-commando left over from some long-forgotten military unit.

Her characteristic black and gray bounty hunter armor is feared throughout the galaxy. Her emotionless helmet has a long, black braid of hair emerging from the back. Few know if this is her true hair or simply a crest she wears. Nobody knows the face which hides behind her helmet's dark faceplate.

Beylyssa has been known to work for several crimelords. Her latest employer was Arnot, who hired the bounty hunter to track down a rogue employee named Aarack Starlighter. With the help of a tracking device, she found the smuggler and his friends on Dantooine, but she did not expect a Jedi Master to be among them. She was overpowered and was delivered to the Alliance as a prisoner.

The Atrivis Sector base unfortunately did not have the facilities to hold such an experienced hunter, so a short time later Beylyssa escaped her crude cell. She wanted to sell the location of the Rebel base on Generis back to Arnot or to the Empire. The heroes caught up with her on Ingo, however, and was apparently killed by a Rebel pilot in a Y-wing.

Beylyssa is ruthless and cunning. Her penchant for setting up traps involving thermal detonators is known only by those few who barely escaped with their lives from such traps.

Outlaws

Cabet Lom

Cabet Lom is a Ruthian Twi'lek who keeps his home, and his office, in a luxurious penthouse atop the Pink Sky Casino on Ord Mantell. He runs a starship outfitting business in the spaceport, but lets others handle it. He mostly prefers to stay in the comfort of his home protected by his Gamorrean bodyguards.

Aarack went to Ord Mantell to deliver him a shipment for Arnot, but the smuggler was delayed by some events. Lom was not too happy about the delay and let Arnot know of his displeasure. He still accepted the shipment and sent along his assistant Herbert to oversee the cargo transfer.

Herbert

Herbert is Cabet Lom's accountant, assistant and lawyer. He is very fond of his data pad, on which he notes everything he observes. He is also very well paid by Lom, and so very loyal.

Herbert is a short Human male in his late 40's, and he annoyed the heroes all the way to their ship.

Pal-Nada

Pal-Nada is a mysterious Cerean who runs a starship theft operation. His base of operations is in Sahl-Evin's Blinders district on Jenenma, but he often visits other worlds with his cronies to steal ships that are docked in the starports. He was on Anoo when the heroes where there. His best technician Shurgg tried to steal the heroes' YT-1300, while his second-in-command Esm Arkhee was distracting the owners. It was a simple operation. But it didn't turn out as planned when one of the heroes was still on the ship and the others had Esm arrested. Even though Shurgg still managed to steal a Y-wing, Pal-Nada wasn't very happy about the way things turned out.

After paying bail to get Esm out of jail, the two went back to their base. The last thing Pal-Nada expected was to meet the heroes again on his own planet several days later while attending a pit-fight in a bar. But even more unexpected was finding out that one of the heroes was a Cerean Force-user, much like himself. Intrigued, he let them have their Y-wing back after the Cerean won the fight, even though his champion Tarkil Hroka was badly injured. He expects to meet them again.

Esm Arkhee

Esm Arkhee is Pal-Nada's right-hand man. He is a male Twi'lek who likes to dress in expensive robes. One of his rear teeth is capped in a silvery metal, and his head-tails spasm occasionally.

The heroes first met him at the starport on Anoo. He claimed to be a branch manager for Interplanetary Acquisitions, and had a business proposition for them. He took them to a run-down office building nestled among warehouses, where he offered them to buy their ship, the Noble Wolf. When they refused his offer, he signaled four thugs led by a human named Gorg Pomar to keep the heroes distracted while a thief was trying to steal their ship. When the local authorities showed up, Esm tried to accuse the heroes of breaking and entering, but he was known as a troublemaker and was arrested.

They met him again several days later on Jenenma, where he attended a pit fight at the Hutt's Last Laugh. He bet heavily on his champion, the Gamorrean Tarkil Hroka, but when he recognized Maevyn, his lekku almost stopped twitching. He didn't think the Cerean's friends would be too far, and he wanted payback for what they did to him back on Anoo. But being the crony that he is, Esm had no choice but to follow his master's orders and reluctantly showed the heroes where the Y-wing was located. His last memory was getting punched in the face by Treyk.

Shurgg

Shurgg is a female Quarren who is a member of Pal-Nada's starship theft ring and uses her technical skills to break into starships and steal them. On Anoo, she tried to break into the Noble Wolf but she ran into unexpected trouble when she found a Bothan guarding it. She succeeded in stunning him, but she didn't have time to complete the operation. Fortunately, she managed to steal the Bothan's Y-wing so the operation wasn't a total loss. Even though R3-B4 signaled the heroes of the intrusion, they were too late to stop her.

Thugs

Teerik

Teerik is a Rodian hunter who mostly hunts Savrips on Ord Mantell. The heroes met him at night while travelling from Great Rock to the crash site of Renci Tosh's Z-95. He was rather friendly and warned the heroes about the dangerous Savrips. "Don't let them grab hold of you, or you're done for," he said.

Teerik's hunting worried Maevyn after the Cerean discovered that the Savrips were not animals, but a misunderstood sapient species.

Yarroq

Yarroq was the chief of a small band of raiders based in a sunken mesa on Ord Mantell, about 30 kilometers from the town of Great Rock. One day, four of his men found a crashed starfighter in the canyons and dragged it to base with the help of their two banthas. It turned out to be Renci Tosh's Z-95 Headhunter. Yarroq was away at The Junkyard trying to sell the starfighter, when the heroes infiltrated the base, overpowered Yarroq's raiders and repaired and stole the Headhunter.

Yarroq returned, only to get blasted from out of his own base. The heroes left the Trandoshan for dead, and rode on back to town on the banthas.

Trossk and Bleedo

Trossk is a Trandoshan enforcer. Bleedo is a Rodian mercenary. Both work for
Arnot. Both hate their jobs. Arnot sent them along Aarack's Starlghter's last cargo run to ensure the smuggler would not back out. When Starlighter discovered the "cargo" to be picked up on Alderaan was two Human women, he changed the plans. Starlighter overpowered both lackeys and flew them to the Rebel base on Chrellis. They are now prisoners of the Alliance, lost somewhere in the shuffle from the relocation of the High Command HQ.

Tarkil Hroka

Tarkil Hroka is a Gamorrean gladiator who was champion pit fighter at the Hutt's Last Laugh cantina on Jenenma. As a typical member of his species, he is in his element when a lot of physical combat is involved. Of course he would prefer to use a handy axe or spear, but his opponents are puny and he enjoys crushing them with his bare hands. Recently, Tarkil was beaten by a puny Cerean off-worlder, who had to use the Force to make him stronger. Puny Cerean.

Tarkil Hroka: Male Gamorrean Soldier 7; Init +1 (Dex); Defense 19 (+6 class, +1 Dex, +2 Defensive Martial Arts); Spd 10 m; VP/WP 68/17; Atk +13/+8 melee (2d4+5, fist) or +8/+3 ranged; SV Fort +10, Ref +3, Will +3; FP 0; DSP 2; Rep +2; Str 20, Dex 13, Con 17, Int 9, Wis 12, Cha 7. Challenge Code D.
Equipment: none.
Skills: Intimidate +8, Treat Injury +11, Profession (gladiator) +11.
Feats: Armor Proficiency (light), Blind-Fight, Defensive Martial Arts, Dodge, Heroic Surge, Improved Martial Arts, Martial Arts, Power Attack, Weapon Group Proficiency (primitive, simple), Weapon Focus.

Informants

Tonto

Tonto is a Rodian informant who resides at the Eclipse Hotel in the spaceport on Caamas. His cousin Otto owns the freighter Wet Dream.

Arnol

Arnol is a Kubaz snitch who sells information for a price. He resides on Kwest Station, and is often seen in the Smelly Rodian cantina. He sold information to Treyk about the pirate Dorok Zalaster.

Cotan

Cotan is a pudgy male Twi'lek with pink-gray skin. He's always impeccably dressed and enjoys fine food and drinks. He is an information broker in Rigton Spaceport on Naalol. He frequents Prit's Free Pit where he can hear all the latest juicy bits. He gave the heroes information on Nir Rinit and how to contact the Oquan.

Orth Maag

On the planet Jenenma, in the Blinders district of Sahl-Evin spaceport, there is a cantina known as The Hutt's Last Laugh (or "the Laugh"). In the middle of a shift on this heavily-industrialized world, the place in nearly empty and the bartender is a fifth-degree worker droid modified for bartending. But the Laugh is a common hangout for many workers at the end of a shift. That's when Orth Maag's bartending services are needed.

Orth is a Zabrak who is curt but friendly to patrons. He is well established in the community, and can be a valuable source of information for the right price. His main source of information is also the main local entertainment. In the back of the Laugh, they run a pit fighting ring and all the important people always attend including the local boss' main stooge Esm Arkhee. The local champion pit fighter has long been the Gamorrean Tarkil Hroka. But recently, Hroka has been vanquished by a visiting off-worlder, a Cerean named Maevyn. Currently without a champion, Orth is starting to think that Cereans are trouble.

Pirates

Dorok Zalaster

Zalaster is an older Human pirate based out of Elrood Sector. He sports tattoos on his bald head and wears a lot of jewelry. His small pirate fleet consisted of a modified customs cruiser named The Last Thing and four Redthorn-class scout ships. Treyk Ferd'sa met him when Zalaster was looking for new recruits on Kwest Station. Apparently, the Bothan was interested in joining his band. After successfully passing three tests, Ferd'sa was accepted in the band. They were going out to Coyn looking to recruit the pirate "Urias Xhaxin" who had recently lost his own fleet.

But Zalaster only really wanted to collect the bounty on "Xhaxin"'s head. Ferd'sa turned on Zalaster and saved "Xhaxin" by stopping his new employer and surrender him to the Coynite government, for which he was rewarded greatly.

Zalaster and most of his crew are at the moment in the custody of the Coynites.

"Urias Xhaxin" (aka "Grayclaw")

"Xhaxin"'s past is shrouded in mystery. No one really knows his real name or how he lost his left hand, which is now a cybernetic replacement. What is known is that he was once part of small pirate fleet who were good at harassing Imperial ships. But the Empire arranged to get rid of them in one swift stroke. For reasons still unknown, an Imperial fleet attacked the Bothan merchant fleet of the Ferd'sa clan. To cover up, the Imperials framed "Xhaxin"'s pirate fleet and proceeded to attack them. They destroyed or captured most of them, except for "Xhaxin" and is crew aboard the Corellian Gunship Free Lance. The Imperials convinced the Bothans that the pirates were responsible for the Ferd'sa clan's demise, and so a bounty was placed on the pirates' head by the Bothan government, backed by the Empire. No one suspects the truth, except for "Xhaxin", his crew and Treyk Ferd'sa, the only known surviving member of the Bothan clan.

Upon discovering that "Xhaxin" was still alive, Treyk went on a quest to find the pirate and offer to help him prove that he is innocent. After he found him, hiding on Coyn, and saved him form a rival pirate who was looking to collect the bounty, Treyk offered him the protection of the Rebel Alliance. Although hesitant at first, "Xhaxin" and his crew fully embraced the ideologies of the Rebels and have been doing some "procurement" for them.

"Xhaxin" still hopes to rebuild his fleet with bigger ships. He has heard about a new type of capital ship the Empire recently acquired...
