Following a fun filled holiday weekend with friends and family, Star Wars is Everywhere continues on unfazed...
ForceCast fan Richard from Long Beach spotted the following pop culture reference on television last week...
"Anyone catch the obscure Star Wars reference on the 11/18 30 Rock? Jack Donaghy (Alec Baldwin) was upset to learn his microwave model was usurped by the new TK-421. I hope I'm not the only one who caught this."
30 Rock has a long history of Star Wars references dating back to their first season which seemed like it had a reference per episode. That being said, if you missed this one, click here to check out the episode at HULU. Oh, and there's a Jabba skiff reference at the beginning of the episode as well. (Thanks Richard!)
Our good friend Mitchell Hallock of the IndyCast spotted the following Star Wars M&M dispenser for $9.99 at his local Connecticut Wallgreens. Keep an eye out at your local retailer as this is perfect for that special Star Wars loving someone with a sweet tooth this holiday season. Apparently there's a Luke version as well! (Thanks Mitchell!)
Gabriel at ShadowLocked.com provides quite the detailed list of "8 easy ways the Empire wins in Star Wars." (Thanks Gabriel!)
Reader Stacy B. writes in with the following...
"I don't know if this has been reported yet, but I was going to the Musician's Friend website ( http://www.musiciansfriend.com/ ) to look at some ukulele's and while the page was loading, I saw an image of the Wampa holding a guitar! Looks to be a Fender Stratocaster. Normally the page loads over it and you don't see it, but the connection I was using lagged JUST enough for me to spot it. It is in the background with the note shaped snowflakes.
I attached an image of it in case you where unable to reproduce it, those with a faster connection probably would miss it. Nice little Easter Egg!"

If you're looking for some cute Star Wars-themed magnets, Creations by Joel at Etsy has a nice variety for you to check out. (Thanks Joel!)
WinnepegFreePress.com has a new article discussing hobby-themed rooms and the first room described is a Star Destroyer-themed theater room. Click here for the read. (Thanks Som!)
TFN reader Zack P. brings our attention to the new trailer for the upcoming Disney 3-D CGI flick Mars Needs Moms. In the trailer, Fanboy's alumn Dan Fogler mimmicks the breathing stylings of Darth Vader. The film also stars Seth Green, who's no stranger to the Star Wars universe. Click here to watch the trailer! (Thanks Zack!)
Dan Harmon, creator of the NBC comedy Community, invokes a bit of Star Wars when speaking to EW.com about his characters in their upcoming stop-motion Christmas episode.
"Harmon?s pretty much an expert on the pop sounds and images that live in all our hearts and often incorporates them into Community episodes. Just see the Predator homages, the show?s pacing ? which is akin to a Simpsons episode ? and the stars? sexual chemistry, which mimics the dynamic between Han Solo and Princess Leia. ?That?s Jeff and Annie,? Harmon admits. ?He?s a scoundrel. But it could be said about Jeff and Britta, too,? except with Britta in the bounty-hunter role and Jeff as the monarch of Alderaan. ?Jeff longs to be thought of as cool.? But Harmon?s loath to put too high a value on the referential aspect of the show. ?I?m not really intentionally doing that,? he insists. ?My brain is just made of a patchwork of stuff that I?ve seen.?'
One could say that Harrison Ford starred in a flick about cowboys and aliens about 33 years ago when Star Wars debuted. Next summer, he'll be starring in the film adaptation of a comic titled Cowboys and Aliens, which we first posted about here. Check out the teaser trailer at OTRC. (Thanks Michael!)
And last but not least, let's catch up with some links to the Official Starwars.com Blog that we may not have covered or linked to in the past week or so...
