Thanks to all of our readers who've been enjoying the Star Wars is Everywhere series. Not sure if I've ever mentioned it but we should give credit to our content manager Dustin Roberts for the idea. Please don't hesitate to send in any news or links that you think may fall into the Star Wars is Everywhere category (especially pop culture references). We try to find what we can, but we always appreciate the help.
Let's kick things off today with a bit of a blast from the past as RopeofSilicon.com looks back on Steven Spielberg's congratulations to George Lucas when Star Wars moved ahead of Jaws at the domestic box office.
Our friend Rick sent over the following report from Down Under...
"Saturday was Rebels day at Armageddon in Melbourne Australia
The Rebel Legion played host to Jay Laga'aia (Capt Typho), Tom Taylor & Colin Wilson (Invasion Comics) and Stewart McKenny (Star Wars Artist) for their photo shoot.
Jay was presented with a Tatooine Base patch and coin as an honorary member of the Rebel Legion, Tom, Colin & Stewart were also presented with Rebel Legion Patches.
The coolest part was that Jay brought along his own Capt typho helmet, truly one of the coolest Star Wars Actors."

Untwisted Vortex examines the generation gap between those born prior to the original release of Star Wars, and those born after.
Lukas Thoms at Ology.com seems to think that the Star Wars gear offered in the SkyMall magazine is ridiculous. Well good sir, if you think a Tauntaun sleeping bag and a Slave Leia apron are ridiculous, then you're not the Star Wars fan we've been looking for. Move along!
For Star Wars fan parents, getting your kids into Star Wars can be a fantastic bonding experience filled with a lot of joy. On the othe hand, Peter Hartlaub at SFGate.com wonders if that youngling Star Wars love can become too much of a good thing.
"I figure this is worth passing along to you guys. Geek Singer/Songwriter John Anealio has penned a song titled 'A Stormtrooper for Halloween', which is now avaliable here with a 'pay what you want' scheme.
Awesome song, really worth checking out. He's also written one called Millenium Falcon for Christmas, which is on his album, Sci-Fi Songs" (Thanks Andrew!)
ForceCast listener Josh was listening in to last week's episode (where Jason and Jimmy were discussing Dominic Monaghan's Star Wars tattoo) when he remembered a bit Dominic did on Comedy Central's Free Radio. Check it out below! (Thanks Josh!)
