Following rumors that had been circulating on the good old interweb, director John Farveau has confirmed via Twitter that Harrison Ford will be joining Daniel Craig in the cast of Cowboys & Aliens. What the heck is Cowboys & Aliens? The film will be an adaptation of the graphic novel created by Scott Mitchell Rosenberg. Set in the mid 1800's, previously-at-odds cowboys and Native-Americans needs to join forces in order to vanquish a looming alien threat. There's no word yet on who Harrison Ford will portray in the film though PopcornMonster.com guesses that it will be a character named Alan Cross.
Writing for the film looks to be coming from Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci (Star Trek) as well as Damon Lindelof (LOST). From there you have John Farveau helming; the director of Iron Man and whom TCW fans remember from his recent voice acting stint during the Mandalore trilogy/story arc. With Daniel Craig and Harrison Ford kicking off casting, we have the makings for what could ultimately be a pretty good film. (on paper anyway) We'll keep you posted as we hear more.
