Logirth
this New Republic Navy Captain was in charge of setting up the fighter escort used to accompany the Tampion as it flew to the Koornacht Cluster. The Tampion was bringing Han Solo to command the Fifth Battle Group in the war against the Yevetha, but the group was ambushed and Solo was captured. Logirth assigned the escort pilots - including Plat Mallar - at the last minute, in an effort to maintain secrecy. (TT)

Logray
this Ewok was the medicine man and spiritual leader of the Ewok tribe which assisted the Alliance ground team during the Battle of Endor. Logray was distinguished by this light tan fur and the skull of a churi bird he wore on his head. Logray was also known as a musician among this tribe's members. Although revered for his wisdom, Logray was suspicious of anyone who was not a member of his tribe, and especially non-Ewoks. He also was the Ewok who cared for the Ancient Tokens of the Ewok Heroes, and bestowed them upon Deej, his sons, and the Towani children when the set out to rescue Jeremitt and Catarine from the Gorax. However, Logray was something of a bully, and he was denounced when he banished Wicket from Bright Tree Village for questioning one of his commandments. Logray was replaced by Paploo, on the orders of Chief Chirpa, and his name was removed from the village's songs of remembrance. To the Ewoks of Bright Tree Village, it was as if Logray had never existed. (ROTJ, EA, CCG10, SWDB)

Log-recorder
this device was used in starships to record a vessel's systems status, flight path, and other vital data. Their primary use was in reconstructing accidents onboard a ship, to determine the cause of the problem and resolve any issues that might compromise the safety of the ship's passengers. Ancient versions resembled large, transparent disks, although more modern versions resembled small datapads. (HSL)

Logris, Brahle
this man worked for his father's corporation, and spent much of his time embezzling credits from it. When his father discovered the loss of profit, Brahle poisoned his father to ensure he wasn't caught. An average-looking man with immaculate appearance, Logris was later discovered to be an independent operator who murdered with poisons on a regular basis. He was finally convicted when he attempted to murder a Sector Ranger on Gandalla, shortly before Grand Admiral Thrawn returned to take control of the Empire. He managed to escape from prison, and it was believed that the Drellis Syndicate aided his escape. (GG11)

Logris, Pertaal
this Imperial Navy Admiral was a loyal supporter of Moff Kentor Sarne, and was in command of Sarne's Charis Fleet during the early years of the New Republic. (DARK)

Logrus
this heavily modified and disguised ExcelStar Lone Scout-A vessel was used by Dhar Bullwin during his search for the Eye of Koda. When a group of scouts found the amulet on Vengler, Bullwin dispatched a servant aboard the Logrus to hunt them down. The scouts managed to shoot the Logrus down, but not before Bullwin learned the location of Koda's World. (GG8)

Loh
this was a common name given to male Kel Dor. Like all Kel Dor given names, it was short enough that it didn't attract the attention of certain wind spirit, which would carry away young children with long-winded names. (GCG)

this name, which meant "long eyes", was common among Gungan males. (GCG)

Lohema
originally established by the Rooshan clan, this was one of the smaller underground cities found on the planet Ryloth. The residents of Lohema maintained a bitter rivalry with the inhabitants of nearby Joreikna. Like many such underground cities, Lohema's primary income was based on the extraction of ryll spice, although other precious ores and stones were also taken from their mines. (GORW)

Loh'khar
this Twi'lek was a supporter of the Alliance during the Galactic Civil War. He claimed to be a former slave who escapde from captivity on his homeworld of Ryloth and set out on his own, becoming an independent spacer. Many believed that he had actually fled Ryloth in order to escape a conspiracy against him. Loh'khar arranged to transport Alliance operatives from Kelada to Gelgelar. He eventually became a member of the crew of the FarStar, during its search for Moff Sarne. He had been on Kal'Shebbol when Page's Commandos launched their assault on Moff Sarne's stronghold, and shot down Loh'khar's ship by accident. Loh'khar joined the crew for two reasons: to get his ship repaired, and to exact a measure of revenge on Sarne. Loh'khar always wore a heavy cloak which was filled with pockets, and the pockets were always full of small tools and datacards full of information. Loh'khar always travelled with the three Turazza sisters, Nizzal, Rizzal, and Vizzal, whom he had raised since they hatched from their eggs while he was visiting Galliwig's Cantina. When Nizzal defected with Khzam, Loh'khar felt betrayed and hurt. However, much of this was a facade used to cover his plans to defect from the FarStar, which he had developed with Gorak Khzam. The two aliens planned to discovered the source of the DarkStryder artifact and sell it to the highest bidder, splitting the profits with Khzam. To this end, Loh'khar took possession of a battered YT-1300 freighter at Q'Maere and ordered Cobb Unser to get it spaceworthy again. However, their efforts were ultimately thwarted, and Loh'khar disappeared. (SWJ6, DARK, KO, KR)

Lohopa II
one of several planets in the Lohopa System, Lohopa II is a temperate world which was settled by miners and prospectors. It has become a major mining location along the Harrin Trade Corridor, and the increase in travel in the years leading up to the fall of the Empire spawned a brisk travel business. The Imperial factions in the system once tried to take control of the mining operations there, but were unable to do so. The average day on Lohopa II lasts 25 standard hours, while its year lasts 414 local days. (TSK)

Loiin Sool
this Yuuzhan Vong was a member of the Shamed Ones, during the height of the aliens' invasion of the galaxy. A former Shaper, Loiin Sool was living on the reformed world fo Coruscant when Nen Yim began her search for the truth about Zonama Sekot. She ordered Loiin Sool to make contact with the individual known as Yu'shaa, the Prophet of the Shamed Ones who was inciting a revolution based on the Jedi Heresy. Loiin Sool was to tell the Prohpet that Nen Yim wanted to meet with him to discuss the location of the planet living planet called Zoanam Sekot. (FP)

Loijin Plaza
this wide thoroughfare was located in the Ambassadorial Sector of the Senate District on Coruscant, during the last decades of the Old Republic. (LEV)

this eight-legged reptilian beast was native to the planet Frisal, and was trained for use as a mount by the Imperial nobles who vacationed on the planet. (PG3)

Loiric Kaan
this Yuuzhan Vong warrior served as the Supreme Commander of the military forces which attacked the planet Mon Calamari during the final stages of the aliens' invasion of the New Republic. Loiric Kaan served under Warmaster Nas Choka aboard the Yammka's Mount during the assault. Kaan was interested in the many ways that the forces of the Galactic Alliance used machines and technology to draw off the strength of the Yuuzhan Vong, despite Nas Choka's assertion that such use of technology showed cowardice more than ingenuity. Kaan was also boastful of his own position of power over the forces of the Alliance, which only served to anger the Warmaster more. Eventually, Nas Choka had Loiric Kaan escorted from the bridge and relieved of his command. (UF)

Loje Nella
this intelligent cliff-borer worm was a reluctant employee of Jabba the Hutt. Loje Nella served as an assistant accountant to Mosep, but purposely misappropriated some of the Hutt's credits to obstruct Jabba's criminal activities. (CCG7)

Lojrak Shrag
this Arcona was the leader of a salt smuggling ring based in the asteroids near his homeworld of Cona, shortly before the Clone Wars. Shrag's ring was broken up by a team of Jedi Knights led by Tassida Judrelle and Stass Allie. In the skirmish which occurred, Shrag was captured and taken into custody while his lieutenant, Godiban Bakoosta, was killed in the fighting. While it was never proven, many smugglers believed that Shrag had been funded by the Trade Federation. (HNN5, SWDB)

this barren, disused planet was located in the Karthakk System, in a remote sector of the galaxy. this male Ugnaught was a member of Sebolto's gang during the years following the Battle of Naboo. The Corporate Alliance issued a bounty for his capture in connection with the theft of classified chemical manufacturing information that was later used in the production of death sticks, which were later discovered to have been laced with deadly neurotoxins. This bounty was eventually claimed by Jango Fett, who managed to locate Gimble and his partner, "Ratchet" Gramzee, on Malastare during his attempt to meet with Sebolto. (BH)

Lol
this green-skinned humanoid was a native of the planet Solem, and was part of the rebel underground that sprang up during the early years of the Galactic Civil War. Yolan Bren was one of the few survivors of Imperial Governor Malvander's subjugation of Solem. After Yolan Bren surrendered himself to Boba Fett, Lol led a group of rebels to Governor Malvander's palace in G'ai Solem to try and free him. Their mission was successful, primarily because Malvander had spread his forces too thin, and the token security force in G'ai Solem was no match for any organized resistance. Lol and Ardal wanted to kill Malvander outright, but Yolan Bren decided to bring his brother with them, forcing the Governor to see what he had done to his people. (SWES)

this Corellian man was a starship Captain, and was hired by Santhe Passenger and Freight to pilot their ships during the height of the New Order. He was in command of SPF 14897 when it was used as bait to draw out Dhas Vedij and the crew of the Far Orbit. (FOP)

this Bith and her husband, Birn, are veteran vacationers who frequently travel on the Kuari Princess. They were on the luxury ship when it was hijacked by the Riders of the Maelstrom. (RM)

this reporter for the Kuati First Holo-News tried to goad Wedge Antilles into a statement, following his testimony at Tycho Celchu's trial. She was thwarted in her attempt when Diric Wessiri intercepted Wedge and spirited him away. (KT)

this was Drake Paulsen's nickname, when he was a youth and learning the smuggling trade from his father, Kaine. By itself, "Lom" was the Coynite word for "freedom." Tra'Parr'Sratt later amended the nickname to "Lom'Ka'Sol," the Coynite term for "out of the cradle," to indicate that Drake had finally come of age. (SWJ2)

Lomabu III
this plant, the third of six wildly-orbiting worlds in the Lomabu System, was chosen by the Empire as a penal colony. It was located close to the Imperially-controlled system of Aida. A group of several hundred Wookiees was imprisoned here at the time of the Battle of Hoth, a fact which Tinian I'att and Chenlambec used to lure Bossk into a trap. The Wookiees on Kashyyyk provided the coordinates of the planet to them, in order to get Bossk to chase Han Solo there. An oceanic world with several long chains of archipelagic islands, Lomabu III was chosen for its unusual sandy beaches. The sand is actually a ravenous form of carnivore that swarms around anything that walks on it, eating away immediately upon contact. The tiny creatures move about by waving tiny flagella, and their motion appears wave-like. Tinian and Chen were able to rescue the Wookiees imprisoned there by making the local Imperial Governor, Io Desnand, believe Bossk was at Lomabu III to poach Wookiee pelts. Once Bossk was captured, they shipped the 593 Wookiees off-planet in the Hound's Tooth. Lomabu III has a single moon. (TBH)

this planetary system contains six planets which orbit the central star in wildly-elliptic orbits, as if some large stellar body had passed near in the recent galactic past. (TBH)

Lomabuan
little is known of this race, which was native to the planet Lomabu III. Their ruins are scattered across the archipelagos of the planet, but few artifacts have ever been found. (TBH)

a race native to the planet Pantolomin, the Lomins are an amphibious race which shares the administrative duties within the Panto System with their neighbors, the Tolos. (DFRSB)

Lommite
a chalky ore once thought to be found exclusively on Elom, it is one of the primary components used in making transparisteel, durasteel, and dura-armor. Several decades before the Battle of Naboo, the Videnda sector planet Dorvalla was discovered to be incredibly rich in lommite deposits, and it was heavily mined by both Lommite Limited and InterGalactic Ores. Several years after the Battle of Endor, Warlord Zsinj's forces discovered another source, on the moon Koratas. (DA, CTD, DMS)

Lommite Limited
this was one of two major mining corporations which established lommite mining operations on the planet Dorvalla, in Videnda Sector, during the last century of the Old Republic. LL found itself being bullied out of the business by its rival, InterGalactic Ores, via a series of industrial sabotage actions. In the midst of their struggle, Darth Sidious decided to use their feud as a way to run both companies out of business. Sidious' apprentice, Darth Maul, manipulated events so that LL and IGO destroyed their corporate ranks, leaving the lommite mines on Dorvalla open to the Trade Federation. Jurnel Arrant, CEO of Lommite Limited, was forced to merge his small company with InterGalactic Ores, then he turned over control of Dorvalla to the Trade Federation. The new corporation was called Dorvalla Mining. (DMS)

LOM-series Protocol Droid
this series of protocol droids was produced by Industrial Automaton, in an effort to break into the huge protocol market help by Cybot Galactica and the 3PO series. Industrial Automaton believed that finding a niche would be important, but worked to avoid a failure similar to that of the PD-series. The LOM was targetted for sale among the various insectile races of the galaxy, without specific physical cues that would limit or offend. Because Industrial Automaton used an AA-1 verbobrain and a TranLang III communications module, Cybot Galactica sued for copyright infringement and a variety of other crimes. Further production of the LOM series was put on hold, until the lawsuits could be resolved. (EGD)

this light-haired man was a member of the Alliance, and was imprisoned on Balis-Baurgh just before Junas Turner and Grael were held there. (SWJ1)

Lon Flotillas
this is the name given to the Freda starfleet divisions. There are known to be at least five Lon Flotillas, deisgnated First through Fifth. The First, Third, and Fifth Flotillas were instrumental in the attack and capture of Jante mining operations in the Rettna System, during the Galactic Civil War. (SWJ9)

Lon Prador
this Kadrillian served as the liaison between his people and the Alliance, during the height of the Galactic Civil War. Lon Prador was also the ruler of the Kadrillian people. However, he was unaware that Dal Quirz and his scientists were secretly growing kunda stones for Darth Vader and the Empire. (LAT3)

Lon Secura
this Twi'lek male was the brother of Pol Secura. Lon and Pol Secura agreed to allow the Jedi master Tholme and his Padawan, Quinlan Vos, to land on Ryloth to investigate a felon they were tracking, several years before the Battle of Naboo. The Jedi, however, were forced to track a member of the Secura clan in connection with the criminal, who had been bringing endagered and interdicted creatured to Ryloth as exotic pets. When Quinlan discovered that a wampa had been brought to Ryloth as a guardian beast, the Secura brothers agreed to help Tholme identify the felon. Years later, after the death of his brother, Lon stood in a position to form a new head-clan to lead the Twi'leks. He met with unusual opposition from Ro Fenn, one of the head-clan members who served with Pol. Ro Fenn did not want to walk into the Bright Lands, as demanded by tradition, and hired Vilmahr Grahrk and a pair of Morgukai warriors to kidnap Lon's son, Nat. Lon Secura enlisted the help of Master Tholme and his apprentice, Aayla Secura, in recovering his son. Lon was surprised to learn that Aayla was his neice, as well as a Jedi. Lon was later forced by Kh'aris Fenn to acceded to the other Twi'lek's demands, in order to save his son's life. Lon believed that the Jedi Knights had failed him, until Vilmahr Grahrk arrived with a message of his son's safety. He then met in secret with the leaders of the other Twi'lek clans, and together they agreed to exile both Ro Fenn and Kh'aris Fenn to the Bright Lands. (ROP)

Lon Wert
this Vulptereen served as the Alliance's primary contact on his homeworld of Vulpter during the height of the New Order. A talented but impulsive pilot, Lon Wert was a regular contestant in the Vulpter Orbital, but lost more often than he won. This got him into financial trouble with a local crimelord, as Lon Wert ended up owing him a large sum of credits. The crimelord became angry, and decided to kill Lon Wert as an example to other debtors about what happens to beings who took advantage of him. A group of Alliance agents managed to reach Lon Wert to alert him to the situation, and helped him win the race and pay off his debt. (PH)

Lona
this was once of the many names given to Duros females. The feminine form of the name Lod, Lona meant "wise". (GCG)

Lona Cranith River
this river split the urban center of the capital of Lianna, with the capital city of Lianna on one side and the starport city of Lola Curich on the other. (ML)

Lonarr, Turren
this man was the president of Temporary Droids, during the years following the Clone Wars. A noted droid specialist, Lonarr personally oversaw the delivery and dispersal of a pool of protocol droids to the planet Kashyyyk, to help the Wookiee with the influx of offworlders. After Rrurrfhurra's death, one of his protocol droids - K-27 - revealed that Lonarr had arrived on Kashyyyk from the colony world of Dosha, and maintained a group of six Trandoshan bodyguards. Further investigation revealed that Lonarr had a burgeoning hatred for Wookiees in general, a hatred that bloomed during a stay on Dosha. He had been hired by the Trandoshan government to smuggle Trandoshan hunters onto Kashyyyk, despite the prevailing laws of the Old Republic. He was eventually caught and held for questioning, and was forced to accept Wookiee justice for his crimes. (GMR4)

Lonatran Gardens
this Gree bontanical reserve is located on the world of Lonatro, and is home to some of the galaxy's rarest and most exotic plants. The Gree maintain the gardens through genetic manipulation, and have preserved several otherwise extinct species over time. (SWJ8)

Lonatran Zoo
this huge biological reserve is maintained by the Gree race on the planet of Lonatro. It take sup huge portions of the planet's surface, and is home to many species of land animals which are extinct on other Gree worlds. The curators of the zoo also maintain several naturally-evolved species of creatures found nowhere else in the Gree Enclave. (SWJ8)

Lonatro
this planet, located within the Gree Enclave, provides much of the foodstuffs for the Gree worlds. At one time during the vast span of Gree civilization, Lonatro was covered with huge farms and food production facilities. After the decline of the Gree civilization, nearly ninety percent of the world was given over to game preserves and botanical gardens. The remaining land still supplies food to the Gree worlds. The average day on Lonatro lasts 22 standard hours, while its year lasts 340 local days. (SWJ8)

Lonay
this sly, clever, but cowardly Twi'lek was one of Prince Xizor's vigo's, or one of his closest lieutenants. The son of Mogra'daal, Lonay was a garish dresser, preferring gaudy jewels and fabrics to subtle clothing. He considered himself a member of no Twi'lek clan, having removed the 'daal' honorific from his name after escaping from slavery. Following Xizor's death over Coruscant, Lonay attempted to take control of the vigos and resurrect Black Sun, but he met with a good deal of pessimism in his abilities. (SE, SEE, SESB)

this Protrean inhabited the Game Chambers of Questal. Although employed by Moff Bandor, Lonchant worked only for himself, blending in with the walls of the chambers until it could ambush it prey. (GCQ)

this planet was located near the planet Ganlihk. (COG)

Londrah
this Defel assassin was sometimes employed by Gornt Seron. Londrah was skilled in the execution of targets with high social stature and rank, using his ability to blend into the shadows to his advantage. He was hired to assassinate Yarr Hinter, a New Republic ambassador, but the attempt failed. It was believed that Gaen Drommel hired Londrah for the assassination, since it was known that Londrah had been hired by the Empire during the Galactic Civil War to assassinate Mon Mothma. (WBC)

Lone Scout-A
a series of scout vessels manufactured by Sienar Ships, these scouts were based off the popular TIE design. The 24-meter ships were designed for a single pilot, which limited the ship's ability since the pilot was constantly engaged in monitoring ship's functions. The Lone Scout-A was given minimal shielding and a single, forward-mounted laser cannon. It also had significantly more cargo space that the standard TIE design. (RPG)

Lone Scout-A
this ExcelStar scout vessel is a modified version of the basic Seinar Lone Scout-A. The primary modification was the addition of a quad-laser turret mounted atop the ship. (GG8)

Lone Scout-A 2
this was the second generation of Seinar Fleet Systems' standard scout ship. Like the Lone Scout-A, it was 24 meters in length and was armed with a single laser cannon. The LSA-2 featured an improved hyperdrive and a deep-scan sensor array, and had room for three passengers. Unlike many other Seinar designs, the Lone Scout-A 2 found wide acceptance in the New Republic, primarily in the New Republic Scout Service. (GG8)

Lone, Tuatara
this native of Sluis Van was holo-actress who was so cute she was intoxicating. Tuatara was known for playing madcap girls who lived in strange lifestyles, or inept investigators who managed to fumble her way through a case. Kell Tainer fell in love with her when he was fifteen, only to find out that she was married and had three children. (WS)

this was the given name of the youth known as the Fixer, who lived on the planet Tatooine during the height of the New Order. (IWST)

Long Call
this was the name given to the Adarian's use of long-range, subsonic cries. The Long Call had its roots in ancient Adarian mating rituals and its use as a danger signal. (GG12)

Long Drink, The
a free-floating bar and grill located near Morjanssik on Calamari, The Long Drink was a large, domed facility that was connected to the city. This central dome housed the main bar and grill, with various tables and booths. There were three smaller domes attached to it, one housing a casino, one serving as the establishment's office center, and one acting as a docking station. The establishment was run by the Quarren Kruluk. (DU)

Long Run
this BD-27 Corellian barge driver was owned and operated by Boo Rawl. Rawl has made several modifications to the ship himself, beefing up the shields and removing passenger space in exchange for space to add a turbolaser housing. The turbolaser can be retracted into the hull and hidden during normal operation. Boo used the ship to transport cargo for the Alliance, and was often assisted in those missions by Deen Voorson. Long Scale
this ILH-KK Citadel-class cruiser was owned by the Trandoshan mercenary Ssorku. (WOA12)

Long Sea
located on the planet Bacrana, this sea was named for its elongated shape. (FBS)

Long Shot
this modified Lantillian short hauler belonged to Reekeene's Roughnecks. It was originally purchased and modified to be a pleasure yacht for an Imperial admiral, but the Roughnecks liberated it from a Callonia spaceport. The gang made a number of changes to the original design, turning it into an almost military transport. The Long Shot could transport up to 85 metric tons of cargo, and the starboard passenger pod contains a secret smuggling compartment. The ship is armed with a pair of turret-mounted laser cannons placed just forward of the stabilizers. It was later obtained by the Alliance, and was the ship that was supposed to meet the Celestial as it was moving Bane Nothos and Grand Moff Ravik to a penal world. The Alliance agents on the Long Shot were pursued by the Star Destroyer Relentless, but escaped into Otherspace. (RC, SWCP, OS)

Long Snoot
this was a nickname, used in the spaceport town of Mos Eisley to describe Garindan. (SWR, CHRN)

Long Tan
a Dimok modified CR90 corvette operative during the Galactic Civil War. (TIE)

Long Walk, The
this was the Socorran name for the self-imposed exile of an Ibhaan'I shaman or priest. The Long Walk was named for the fact that these men leave their tribes of their own volition and wander the open desert on their own. To many, this is considered suicidal. However, the shamen - known as the bronwen - gain respect and power as they survive in the intense desert conditions. (BSS)

Long, Hokkor
this man sereved as the Secretary in Charge of Scheduling for the Imperial Entertainer's Guild during the early years of the New Order. Shortly before Han Solo tried to rescue Chewbacca from Stars' End, Hokkor Long sent a message to Viceprex Hirken that the original entertainment troop would not be arriving at Stars' End. The message that was intercepted by Han, who used the information to create Madame Atuarre's Roving Performers as a disguise for his crew to break into the facility. (HSE)

Longblaster
this was the name used by BlasTech to describe its overpowered, oversized blaster rifles, such as the DLT-20A and the A280 rifles. (AEG)

Longe Voltrans

this hand-crafted form of blaster rifle was produced by the Wookiees of Kashyyyk, during the last decades of the Old Republic. Despite its size, the long-gun had a very limited range. (VD3, WOTC)

Longmar
this Alliance Navy Captain was in command of the frigate Liberty Gambler and the Pegasus Strike Force, during the height of the Galactic Civil War. (SWJ2)
