this was Drake Paulsen's nickname, when he was a youth and learning the smuggling trade from his father, Kaine. By itself, "Lom" was the Coynite word for "freedom." Tra'Parr'Sratt later amended the nickname to "Lom'Ka'Sol," the Coynite term for "out of the cradle," to indicate that Drake had finally come of age.
