Two Exciting New Images From The Rise Of Skywalker
SPOILERS!
Here are two new images courtesy of EMPIRE magazine from Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker. The first showcases the dreaded Knights of Ren standing together perhaps taking orders from Kylo Ren? The second image shows some serious action as it appears to be VERY WINDY! Enjoy!
Star Wars fans got a first glimpse of the Knights Of Ren in Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Kylo Ren’s squad briefly popped up in Rey’s lightsaber-induced ‘Force-back’ sequence, a tantalisingly brooding shot of the mysterious crew surrounding the sequel trilogy’s corrupted villain. And that was it – they weren’t referred to again, and didn’t even get a passing mention in Rian Johnson’s sequel The Last Jedi. But with filmmaker JJ Abrams back on board for Episode IX – The Rise Of Skywalker, the Knights Of Ren are back in the picture – and Empire has a world exclusive new image of them, as seen in the upcoming November issue.
For all its pyrotechnics, epic battles, and explosive developments, some of the most striking moments in Star Wars: The Last Jedi are the dialogue scenes between Adam Driver’s Kylo Ren (below, in a brand new image) and Daisy Ridley’s Rey – Force-assisted discussions that proved part emotional manipulation, part vulnerable heart-to-heart. The pair's dance around the pull of light and darkness is one of the key tensions at the heart of the sequel trilogy, and one that will feature once again in the upcoming Episode IX.
