Star Wars: Ewoks Animated Series To Stream On Disney+
Star Wars: Ewoks originally aired in 1985 and 1986. It followed the adventures of Wicket W. Warrick and his fellow Ewoks on the forest moon of Endor around the time of Star Wars: A New Hope. As this series was set before we were introduced to the Ewoks in Return of the Jedi, we got a fun and fresh take on the species. Star Wars: Ewoks introduces new villains into the Star Wars universe – most notably the Duloks who may be better recognized because of the 3 ¾” action figure line that included several of their kind. Over two seasons, we would also be introduced to new Ewoks that included Princess Kneesaa, Latara and the siblings of Wicket – Widdle, Weechee and Winda. Of course, there are more recognizable Ewoks that had prominent animation time along the lines of Logray, Chirpa, Teebo, Lumat and Paploo.
Kudos to Disney for opening up the vault to share Star Wars: Ewoks among other Star Wars classics that expanded the Star Wars Universe during the dark times following Return of the Jedi!
