Vending machines have been deployed at Star Wars Celebration for some of the smaller items such as Hats, pins, and misc. trinkets. I stood there and watched as fans came up, pressed the items they wanted, paid, and it was distributed in the pull out bin below.

This is a great idea for those simply trying to complete the pins set. No trips to the store where we are hearing rumors of computers crashing and registers not working properly. The line for the Star Wars Celebration Store is at least 1800 people deep at last check.
