Disney and Lucasfilm have teamed up with the global robotics community FIRST to inspire the next generation of heroes and innovators as part of the Star Wars: Force for Change philanthropic initiative. As part of the collaboration with FIRST and The Walt Disney Company’s commitment to inspiring youth to create the future they imagine, they have created a series of shorts highlighting how Lucasfilm, Industrial Light & Magic, and Walt Disney Imagineering use robotics and engineering to bring Star Wars stories and experiences to life, hosted and interviewed by students from FIRST.

In the first short of the series, "A Visit to Hasbro" FIRST students Lyndsay and Daniel visited Hasbro HQ and met Phil Sage and Melissa Hershey who helped create the Ultimate Interactive D-O App-controlled Droid toy releasing ahead of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. Watch as they learn the balance between creativity, form and function, and the technology that goes into releasing a Star Wars toy.
