Looks like some of the recent rumors were true regarding a new Clone Wars video game being on the way. EW.com got the exclusive first trailer along with some new details. What jumped out at me was that Star Wars: The Clone Wars: Republic Heroes looks to be coming to the X-Box 360, PS3, Nintendo Wii, Nintendo DS and possibly more systems. Original rumors had the new game only making it to the PS3 and 360.

From EW.com:

"Star Wars: The Clone Wars -- Republic Heroes takes place between seasons 1 and 2 of the animated Clone Wars series and will feature a wide range of playable heroes, including Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Mace Windu, Kit Fisto, and some of the clone trooper characters. You'll be able to play around with lots of force-enhanced powers and, best of all, work your way through the game cooperatively with a friend. It won't go on sale until September 15, but LucasArts gave us an exclusive look at the first trailer for the game."

UPDATE: Head on over to Starwars.com for their official announcement of Star Wars The Clone Wars: Republic Heroes, complete with details, screenshot slideshows from various game platforms, and the trailer. Republic Heroes is set for a September 2009 release and will be available on the following platforms:
