Star Wars Is Everywhere: Episode LVIII

Posted By Mike on October 26, 2011

Order 66 Entertainment defeats the Las Vegas Mob Experience, David Prowse out and about, a couple Star Wars mods, some videos, one heck of a corsett & more make up the latest edition of Star Wars is Everywhere. Dive right in!

Click on the image above for a view of Kyle Newman (Fanboys director and regular ForceCast guest), Jaime King (Aurra Sing on TCW), Christian Taylor (TCW writer), and some troopers at a recent Mortis Trilogy screening in L.A. to promote the Season 3 box set release of The Clone Wars.
(Thanks Jimmy Mac!)

Back in June, in a round-up of Star Wars: Where Science Meets Imagination news, we noted that Order 66 Entertainment LLC was working on plans to bring the exhibit to Las Vegas. Now, The Wall Street Journal reports that Order 66 Entertainment and real estate developer Jay Bloom may have contributed to the bankruptcy of the Las Vegas Mob Experience museum. Click here for the full story.

Check out this Star Wars-themed surround sound system mod that includes a couple TIE Fighter speakers, a Death Star subwoofer and a Darth Vader iPod mount.

Continuing with another sweet Star Wars mod, head over to Etsy to check out CentennialMerchant's VHS Star Wars external hard drive.

Here's another Star Wars-related Etsy link for you. Behold, the Star Wars corsett!

Kristina Alexanderson depicts the softer side of trooping in this fantastic set of Father/Son stormtrooper photos.

Our friend Keith sends word of a new Star Wars online fan comic:

"Fandom Comics (http://www.fandomcomics.com) just launched their latest Star Wars fan comic, titled "Cracken's Crew: First Missions". A spin-off of their flagship "Cracken's Crew" title, "First Missions" focuses on the initial deployments of each of the team members in an anthology of short 12 page vignettes. The first story focuses on the team medic, Ander, and his mission to Dankayo to extract General Rieekan. If you recognize that obscure West End Games RPG reference, kudos! Written by Keith "Nar" Kappel and illustrated by the incomparable Jonas Scharf. Enjoy the cover and first few pages today!

Fandom Comics is a fan fiction and RPG module site, currently running four fan comics (Cracken's Crew, Cracken's Crew: First Missions, Lumiya: Dark Lady of the Sith, and Tales of the Chu'unthor), as well as supplemental fan fiction and fan RPG material. Fandom Comics is also home of the Clone Wars Saga Edition Fan Sourcebook, a several hundred page long living document that catalogs much of the Clone Wars esoterica in Saga Edition stat block form."

(Thanks Keith!)

SheffieldTelegraph.co.uk reports on a Dave Prowse appearance at Waterstones, Orchard Square. The former Darth Vader was there to sign copies of his autobiography, Straight From The Force?s Mouth.

The Louisville, Kentucky/northern Indiana-based Courier-Journal.com reports on a fun Star Wars event held at the Charlestown Arts & Enrichment Center.

Hometownlife.com invites you to get to know the Great Lakes Garrison of the 501st Legion.

From our friend Will:

"Not sure if you guys are familiar with Tommy Wiseau?s ?The Room,? but if you are, then you might find this video and it?s SW moment very funny"

(Thanks Will!)
