SW Is Everywhere: Episode II

Posted By Mike on April 25, 2010

The Force didn't just inform us to create the SW is Everywhere post. It told us to continue the series...

Thousand upon thousands of people took part in the 30th running of the London Marathon. Darth Vader was apparently there and is not one to miss a photo opp. Visit the source article at BBC News for more picures of the exhausting event.
(Thanks Som!)

Our friend, and noted Indy fan, Mitchell Hallock sent over the following message to go along with the image above. Click on the thumbnail for the full view.

"I know he played the president but I was at the Smithsonian Museum of American History and saw this. You think the curator is an Indy fan or Star Wars fan?"

My answer: Star Wars!
(Thanks Mitchell!)

The Official Starwars.com Blog sheds some light on reusable Chewbacca coffee mugs that helped make a difference on Earth Day 2010.

What's better than finger puppets? Star Wars finger puppets! Droolicious points us to the Etsy creations of GollyGeeGeorge that are selling for a mere $55.

Last time, we pointed out a new Star Wars reference in a recent episode of LOST. Today, we look to the Fox show Fringe for the latest in their growing line of Star Wars references. In last week's episode, titled "The Man from the Other Side," there are two FBI vehicles that have lisence plate numbers that include "R2D2" and "C3PO." Is it a coincidence that J.J. Abrams brings us both shows? The full episode can be viewed over at HULU. Otherwise, Fringe (which is really coming into its own in the second season) airs at 9:00pm on Fox on Thursdays.
(Thanks William and Kevin!)
