It is the will of The Force that we pay a bit more attention to random Star Wars references, sightings, tributes, and so forth that may fall under the radar. Considering the name of our site is TheForce.net, we'd be pretty hypocritical to ignore the will of The Force. That being said, enjoy our inaugural post of SW is Everywhere!
Let's begin with a reader submission from Ramon:
"This week DC Comics came out "The Brave & The Bold" #33 featuring Wonder Woman, Zatanna, & Batgirl. The 3 decide to have a "girl's night out" and go to a club. Using her magic, Zatanna does a "Jedi Mind Trick" to get the ladies in. Here's a pic of the panel."
(Click on the pic above for the full view, and thanks to Ramon for the heads up)
It seems that everyone who's anyone was at the Coachella Music Festival this year (unless the celebrity blogs are misleading us). Naturally, if there's fun to be had, Yoda will be there! The pint-sized Jedi Master landed at #6 on LA Weekly's list of "The 40 Most Memorable People at Coachella." (Thanks to Dustin D. for the link)
LOST fans are familiar with the numerous Star Wars references that have popped up throughout the past six seasons, mostly from Hurley. This week's episode, "The Last Recruit," was no exception as Hurley invoked talk of Anakin Skywalker to make a point with Sawyer. That's about all we can say about it for if I write more, and accidentally expose a LOST spoiler, the LOST fans might find me and present me to the smoke monster. (I'm allowed to type that since I love me some LOST as well!) Watch the full new episode at HULU or you can scan to the Hurley/Sawyer conversation right after the first commercial break around 7:55 minutes in.
Continuing on the LOST note, and in the in-case-you-missed-it category, the Official Starwars.com Blog recently highlighted a Star Wars/LOST comic strip mash-up.
