The Mandalorian Adult Novel & Ultimate Visual Guide Canceled

There were two books based on the hit Disney+ show, The Mandalorian, scheduled to release this year and it looks like we won't be getting either one now. Del Rey was scheduled to release Star Wars: The Mandalorian - An Original Novel written by Adam Christopher, and DK Publishing was scheduled to release Star Wars: The Mandalorian - The Ultimate Visual Guide by Pablo Hidalgo. Both companies posted the same message on Twitter alerting fans and readers around the world that because the show's story is still expanding on screen, the title they were each slated to release has been canceled.

Due to the ever-expanding world of The Mandalorian, we will no longer be publishing THE MANDALORIAN ORIGINAL NOVEL at this time, as the story continues to unfold on screen.

This most likely does not mean that we'll never see these titles published, but while Disney continues to create the storyline for The Mandalorian and their other Disney+ Star Wars shows, what each book would have been will certainly change as the universe will have been vastly expanded in another year or two. We'll keep our fingers crossed that both see new life in the coming seasons.
