Star Wars - The Mandalorian Has Found Its Bounty Hunter!
One of the big new shows that will premiere with the Disney streaming service starting late next year, called Disney Plus, is Jon Favreau's live-action Star Wars series, "The Mandalorian" The series has been in production now for some time and we already know several things about it from budget, to directors, to number of episodes.
And now it appears the show, which will follow the exploits of a Mandalorian bounty hunter, has found its leading man. Variety is reporting that Chilean-American actor Pedro Pascal will done the amour for Jon Favreau and his list of directors. Pascal, known mostly for his work on Game of Thrones, was rumored to play the part weeks ago by sites like MakingStarWars.net, but this is the first confirmation. Pascal will next be seen in Wonder Woman 1984 which comes out early next year.
The article doesn't mention any other names but recent rumors have pegged John Leguizamo, Bryce Dallas Howard and Taika Waititi as potential cast members, but again. nothing concrete. The 8-episode season will feature five directors including Dave Filoni, Howard, Waititi, Rick Famuyiwa and Deborah Chow with Favreau writing and executive producing.
