Simon Kinberg (Briefly) Talks Star Wars Canon

Star Wars spinoff film consultant and Rebels executive producer Simon Kinberg briefly discussed his views of the Expanded Universe in an interview with IGN that was posted today (via Club Jade).
"The canon is the canon," Kinberg said when asked if the EU would serve as a basis for future projects, "and the canon is the six films that exist."
Kinberg did, however, call the EU "inspiring" and say that Rebels "will take inspiration from everywhere."
