George Lucas, Mellody Hobson Tied The Knot This Weekend

TheForce.Net would like to congratulate George Lucas and Mellody Hobson, who were married on Saturday, June 22 in a ceremony at Skywalker Ranch that was presided over by PBS' Bill Moyers. Hobson is the president of Ariel Investments, the largest minority-run mutual fund firm in the United States. The couple have been dating since 2006, and they got engaged in January.

Hollywood icons Samuel L. Jackson and Ron Howard were in attendance and offered their congratulations on Twitter following the event.

In April, the wedding date was reportedly set for June 29th, but evidently that was subsequently changed.
