Star Wars Is Everywhere: Episode XXVII

Posted By Mike on December 8, 2010

Star Wars is Everywhere is like an evergreen tree. It might be colder outside and the other trees have shed their leaves, but Star Wars is Everywhere remains full and vibrant...minus a pine cone or two. Enjoy!

If you had a mouse in your house wearing one of these funky Star Wars get-ups, would you still go out and get a mouse trap? TheHouseofMouse on Etsy has a variety of hand-made Star Wars (and non Star Wars) themed mice for you to peruse and possibly purchase.

We love seeing Star Wars references in everyday life and LikeMe//Daily has compiled a random list of ten such references for you to look over.

Our friend Andy L. (Chewbubba) found Star Wars references in a recent comic strip of Sally Forth. Click on the thumbnail above for the full view.
(Thanks Andy!)

Moisture farming ain't just for whiny farmboys and grumpy uncles anymore as designers Chun Yen Tsao and Hsing-Tan Yang present Swater. Just what is Swater? Yankodesign.com explains:

"What Swater does is use sunlight to collect clean distilled water from the condensation that builds up inside of the device. It?s eco friendly and probably will one day save the entire world. The awl-shaped cap has a solar panel that generates the energy needed to run the electrical heating tube and disinfecting light."

Writers Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci spoke with Hero Complex at the LA Times regarding their upcoming sequel to the wildly successfull 2009 reboot of Star Trek. Star Wars gets a little love in the interview including a question that asks if this sequel will be to the reboot what Empire was to the original Star Wars. You can read the full interview here.

MercuryNews.com reports on the Oakland annual holiday parade, in which Darth Vader was a fan favorite!

Star Wars continues to pop up in 2010 baby names as a number of us fans continue to use the saga as inspiration for naming our offspring. Admittedly, I'm a member of this group. WGNRadio.com reports that Liam (as in Neeson) and Lucas (as in George) fall in the top ten of the most popular 2010 baby names.
(Thanks Jimmy!)

Our friend Jordan from TheMoviePool.com has started a new post series highlighting the best scenes from particular movies. In his first installment, Jordan takes a look at Revenge of the Sith and the scene in which Anakin and Padme are seemingly staring out at each other from across the Coruscant cityscape, just prior to the execution of Order 66. Click here to check it out!
(Thanks Jordan!)

Tracy, from our friends at ClubJade.net, provides coverage of Star Wars representation at the Detroit Urban Craft Fair.

If you're a Chad Vader fan, BlameSociety.net is offering a few delux Chad Vader DVD packages that include some goodies along with the DVDs.
(Thanks Justin!)
