While it's now official that the Star Wars saga will be headed to 3-D in 2012, we now have a rumor that the Indiana Jones frachise will be doing the same. The site Blue Sky Disney says to expect an announcement from Lucasfilm within the next month. I doubt this is something that LFL will comfirm now, so we'll just have to sit back and wait to see what pans out. Until then, enjoy the speculation but consider this in the rumor category.
Thanks to our good friend (and IndyCast contributor) Mitchell Hallock for the heads up.
UPDATE: Per Big Shiny Robot, Lucasfilm has sent the following response to the new rumor:
"This is completely false. Right now, we are totally focused on bringing Star Wars to 3D, and we have no plans to do an Indiana Jones conversion."
Cheer up Indy fans. There's always the possibility of this happening after the Star Wars conversions have come out...in 2018 or so.
Rebelscum Breast Cancer Awareness Charity Patch Posted By Philip on November 25, 2014: Thanks to everybody that ordered patches. I sent a check for $1,600.00 to the National Breast Cancer Foundation on Monday. While it's not as much as I hoped for, it's still very much appreciated. They will remain for sale in the store for anybody that still wishes to purchase them. Details after the jump.
