Here's The Disney Plus Star Wars Starting Lineup

The fine folks over at Star Wars dot com have released a handy list of all the Star Wars related content we can expect to find on the Disney+ streaming service when it launches on November 12th! This list is for US customers only, not sure how it will differ from region to region.

The list has most of the films of course and all the popular shows you would expect to find including The Mandalorian, The Clone Wars, and Star Wars Rebels. There a couple of surprises however that I think will delight the fans, and a few suspicious absentees, but everything in due time!

Because they've been testing the service in the Netherlands for a few weeks now, most of this is already known to a good portion of the fan base. But one thing this list doesn't show, which the menu appears to have if you've seen screenshots, is a "Star Wars Shorts" section which includes episodes from Star Wars Rebels, Droid Tales, The Freemaker Adventures, and more. So, I'm guessing this list just gives you a general idea of what you can expect to find, once you dig a little deeper into each series, you'll find the shorts accordingly.

Obviously there are a few things missing from the list but they have addressed those as well. During the first year they will add Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Solo: A Star Wars Story, and Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker at some point. The Rise of Skywalker hasn't been released yet in theaters obviously and Solo and The Last Jedi are still airing over on Netflix, but not for long.

And of course we know that Star Wars: The Clone Wars will begin airing in February of next year, with live-action Cassian Andor and Kenobi series' not far behind. Just recently we've learned that filming for Season Two of "The Mandalorian" is underway so we can expect to see that air sometime in the future as well.

As far as this list goes, I for one am very happy they've included the family of LEGO Star Wars animated shows, of which I am a big fan of. Additionally, the inclusion of "Empire of Dreams: The Story of the Star Wars Trilogy" gives me hope that they will include other future documentary style films in the future.
