Star Wars: Detours “Dog Day Afternoon” Leaked!
Back in 2009, George Lucas revealed that a new Star Wars animated series was in the pipeline. In 2010, Lucasfilm Ltd. announced that Star Wars: Detours was in production. Unfortunately, in 2013, it was announced that the show had been postponed so Lucasfilm Ltd. could focus on The Force Awakens which ultimately lead to the decision to cancel the series all together. Despite having 39 episodes completed and dozens more scripts written for future episodes, the show never aired and it’s been scarcely discussed since.
Fast forward to now and a Reddit account called f/StarWarsLeaks has posted a leaked 6-minute episode titled “Dog Day Afternoon” which features Weird Al Yankovic & Andy Richter as the voices of 4-LOM & Zuckuss!
If the rest of the episodes are as funny as this one, it’s truly a shame that it was never released and we’ll keep our fingers crossed that one day, Disney will decide to release it for fans to enjoy.
