John Boyega Welcomes Naomi Ackie To Star Wars - Episode IX

With the Star Wars - Episode IX cast annoucement and filming date released the other day, one couldn't help but notice the new names added to the Star Wars family. Along with Richard E. Grant and Keri Russell joining the group, we've got newcomer Naomi Ackie along for the ride.

Star Wars hero and ambassador, John Boyega, took to his Instagram account to welcome Ackie to the family as well as show off his new hair style! While it's way too early to know any details about her character, the rumor is she will play someone possibly name “Caro”. The casting call description for the character was a person who has a “captivating naturalness and ease to her manner, and a leader and problem solver, smart with a great sense of humor and a strong will. All this comes to her effortlessly.” The name on the casting call often changes by the time filming begins so don't get too attached to "Caro", nevertheless it's likely this is job went to Ackie. We'll know more in the months ahead I'm sure.

As far as Boyega's hairstyle is concerned, it is understood that Episode IX will start off with a time jump and his hair reflects that.
