George Lucas Chooses Chicago For Collection Museum
The Chicago Times reports that George Lucas will house his collection museum in the city of Chicago where the retired filmmaker has strong ties. Originally called the Lucas Cultural Arts Museum, it will now be called the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art. The museum board still has to vote on the decision and the Chicago Plan Commission has to approve the location, but given the amount of tourist traffic that the city receives, it seems like the right choice.
"Choosing Chicago is the right decision for the museum, but a difficult decision for me personally because of my strong personal and professional roots in the Bay Area,” Lucas said in a statement.
