The DVD of the first 4 episodes of The Clone Wars titled, A Galaxy Divided, is now on sale. Start your TCW DVD collection today or wait for a season 1 box set. I have a feeling a number of us just can't wait!
UPDATE: Our friend Matt Frey sends us this report on the various packaging designs that he found for this DVD release:
"Just wanted to give all you collector's of Star Wars videos a heads up of some variations I found at my local stores of Clone Wars: A Galaxy Divided.
Target was selling both a version that had the slipcase, as well as a version that did not. What was odd about this one is that neither one was different in price, and neither one offered any additional content.
Walmart was selling a version that included a bonus fifth episode - Downfall of a Droid. This is advertised with a large rectangular sticker on the front advertising the additional episode. Other than this sticker, the cover is the exact same as the regular DVD I found at Target.
Best Buy was selling a version that included a bonus Clone Wars patch inside. Again, this bonus was advertised with a sticker, but a much smaller one, that could be easily missed. This version was also packaged the same as the regular edition found at Target.
All these variations were around the same price. Target's being the cheapest at $12.99, Walmart's at $14.99, and Best Buy's at $12.99."
Thanks for the update Matt!
UPDATE #2: Our friend Chad saw the update above and then wrote to let us know that the Toys R Us TCW DVDs come with a free poster packed inside.
Thanks Chad!
UPDATE #3: More DVD details, this time from friend of TFN, Eddie:
"It sounds that the bonus Downfall of a Droid-disc is the same disc as the UKHMV exclusive TV-sampler released on January 23, 2009 by Warner Home VideoUK. This HMV-exclusive is billed as an "Exclusive Preview Episode from theHit Animated TV Series", and contains the compleye Downfall of aDroid-episode."
Rebelscum Breast Cancer Awareness Charity Patch Posted By Philip on November 25, 2014: Thanks to everybody that ordered patches. I sent a check for $1,600.00 to the National Breast Cancer Foundation on Monday. While it's not as much as I hoped for, it's still very much appreciated. They will remain for sale in the store for anybody that still wishes to purchase them. Details after the jump.
