Sue Rostoni Touches On FOTJ & Crosscurrent

Posted By Mike on August 12, 2009

Sue Rostoni has been all over the SW.com boards lately and today we get a bit regarding the Fate of the Jedi series and the upcoming stand-alone novel Crosscurrent.

On FOTJ:

"Just a head's up here: We're moving around some pub dates, so stay tuned. Next week I'll be posting a blog reflecting the revised calendar. The major change is that we've moved some of the Fate of the Jedi novels, beginning next year, to give the authors a bit more time to write .... longer novels. We conjured up a few beefy subplots to add to the mix that are really going to increase action, tension, and characters and wanted to be sure each author has enough time to really develop and write the stories without a lot of rush."

Good stuff if you were disappointed with the length of the first two entries...bad if you want the series to get to the point already. You take the good, you take the bad...

And on Crosscurrent's time-frame:

"Crosscurrent's "present time" is 41.5 years after the Battle of Yavin, putting it very close after the end of Legacy of the Force. It's very cool because occasionally Jaden reminiscences about his role in the war."

Crosscurrent, by Paul Kemp, is due out in January 2010.
