The weather is turning, baseball is in the air, and we have yet another Star Wars Night headed to a minor league baseball stadium. Our friend Andrew writes in to spread the word of a Star Wars Night in Peoria, Illinios that's coming up in a couple weeks...
"The Peoria Chiefs, the Minor League baseball team in Peoria, IL is hosting a Star Wars night on May 7th at 7:00 when they face off against the Kane County Cougars. Members from the 501st Midwest Garrison are set to be on hand and a firework show will be held after the game as well. Here is the information from the Chiefs' official site:

UPDATE: TFN reader/ForceCast listener Nathan Thomas was able to attend last evening's Star Wars Night with the Peoria Chiefs and was nice enough to send over the following report:
"Just got back from the Chiefs Star Wars night game. It was a great time! The 501st began gathering outside the gate and had a good showing of half a dozen stormtroopers, a clone commander, a scout trooper, 2 imperial commanders, and Princess Leia with 2 rebel fighter pilots. Boba Fett made his way out a little while after. A Jedi also made an appearance. Darth Vader threw out the opening pitch, though he could use a little more practice there. After the opening pitch, the whole group of 501st and Rebel representatives were out on the field briefly and took a few group pictures. To aid the atmosphere, there were Star Wars posters up in the stadium, along with a cut out of Padme and Jar Jar from TPM. The 501st were wandering around posing for pictures all night long. On the big scoreboard, where it showed the player's picture, the home team had the face imposed over either Chewie, Yoda, a rebel pilot. The away team's images were imposed on Vader, Boba Fett, and Darth Maul. They used Star Wars music and quotes all night long, my favorite was when the away team had a mound conference, and they played "I love you, I know" from before Han was frozen in Ep 5. It was pretty fun! And to end the night, they had a spectacular fireworks show set to great Star Wars music.
Thanks for letting us know about this fun event. It makes me yearn more for another Star Wars convention.
May the force be with you, and good night."
Thanks to Nathan for sending over the report and we're glad to hear that a good time was had by all.

I sent a check for $1,600.00 to the National Breast Cancer Foundation on Monday. While it's not as much as I hoped for, it's still very much appreciated. They will remain for sale in the store for anybody that still wishes to purchase them. Details after the jump.
