Conan O'Brien Presents Ep. VII Director Auditions

Comedian Conan O'Brien continues to take advantage of the fact that Lucasfilm has yet to announce who will direct Star Wars Episode VII. We previously reported about how the TV host put together a series of videos in which famous directors audition for the job of a lifetime. Well, Conan has now produced an introductory video for the series, which The Official Star Wars Blog shared. You can check out the full slate of audition videos here. Participating directors include Michael Moore Woody Allen, Wes Anderson, and others.

It's Official: Star Wars Episode VII Rolls Cameras May 2014

StarWars.com has posted the news that the cameras will roll on Episode VII in May 2014. The release also goes on to say, "It has also been confirmed that Star Wars: Episode VII is set about 30 years after the events of Star Wars: Episode VI Return of the Jedi, and will star a trio of new young leads along with some very familiar faces. No further details on casting or plot are available at this time." More after the jump.
