VIP Treatment at Dutch EP3 Screening Posted By Britany on May 19, 2005
This article is sure to make a lot of people jealous. Zeeshan writes in with a report from an EP3 screening at the Pathe Buitenhof Theatre in the Netherlands:
Just wanted to say that it's pretty shocking to read all the horror stories about the various screening disfunctions when compared to what I experienced last night (May 18th).
It was so much more than I expected from any European cinema to be honest. We could see huge lights from a distance and walked on to a red carpet (never happens in this region). We went up to a place I had never seen in this theatre before. It was a luxurious hall lit with chandeliers and having booked tickets in advance meant that my friends and I were entitled to a free drink each. But it doesn't stop there. I hear people saying how they waited 2 hours in line before they were allowed in. Our waiting time (2 hours) was done in this hall I am talking about with waiters serving all sorts of various snacks made with salmon and caviar.
Anyways after a nicely spent two hours, an announcement was made to let us in the hall. Our seats were numbered and we had gotten the center ones. One of my friends suggested we go for pop-corn before anything but to our surprise, each seat has a bucket of popcorn along with one huge cola.
It couldn't get any better. a V.I.P treatment on a screening for the 18th. The movie as expected was fantabulous. Very strong on emotions. I would say that THIS cinema was the one that truly appreciated the significance of the day.
