Chewbacca To Kick Off DFW Charity Line Up For STAR WARS Episode III!
Dallas, Texas-Starting Sunday, April 17th, at the Cinemark Legacy theater in Plano, local club DFW FanForce will kick off their charity line up for the last chapter in the STAR WARS saga. Beginning at 2:00 p.m., Peter Mayhew, the actor who portrayed the beloved Wookiee Chewbacca in four of the six films, including Episode III, will be making an appearance to spend an afternoon with fans.
This event will mark the start of a four week celebration leading up to the opening day of STAR WARS: Episode III Revenge of the Sith on May 19th.
As with the previous two charity line ups, DFW FanForce is once again working with a local charity, Rainbow Days, in an effort to raise funds and bring about awareness for children and victims affected by drug abuse.
Since 1982, Rainbow Days has provided children living in high-risk situations with the skills they need to overcome adversity and stay drug free.
DFW FanForce, the founding chapter of the international FanForce community, has facilitated charity events for both of the STAR WARS prequel movies in 1999 and 2002. They have raised thousands of dollars for Dallas/Ft.Worth charities as well as raising awareness to benefit children locally.
