CV: Glimpses From The Family Room

Posted By Mike on September 5, 2010

In what I believe will be my last 1st-person report from Celebration V, we have some glimpses from the Family Room. Dustin Roberts and I happened to stop into the youngling-friendly area on Sunday afternoon when we realized that we had yet to do so. Kids young and old were involved in numerous arts and crafts project, were getting their picture taken in front of some fun backdrops, and were just generally have some good old fashioned family fun. It ended up being a good thing that we waited until Sunday to stop by the room as The Clone Wars supervising director Dave Filoni just so happened to be there giving a drawing lesson to a captive audience of kids. Dave was finishing up on a drawing of General Grievous when he asked the group what they'd like to draw next. A youngster chimed in with Bossk. Dave kind of sighed, smiled and said something about that not being a very easy character to draw. Of course, not willing to let any fan down, Mr. Filoni plowed ahead into the Bossk lesson. Click on the thumbnails below for full views.

UPDATE: Our friend Tim sent over the following video of his 3 year old son Max learning to draw Star Wars characters from Mr. Filoni in the CV Family Room. The camera angle gives you a fun perspective from over Max's shoulder. Thanks Tim!
