Even through the excitement, as May 25th, 1983 approached, it felt like the end of an era for The Star Wars Generation as the new stands displayed magazines talking about the last chapter in the Star Wars saga. Like 1980's hype machine, the Return Of The Jedi magazine features were certainly a large component on how we all felt, and while exciting and full of energy, it still felt some what somber and respectful of the massive influence the films had on pop culture and the way films were made and marketed. The highlight was the Star Wars issue of Time which first confirmed more films once technology finally reached George Lucas' vision. Technology that he'd have a very heavy hand in creating... something everyone should keep in mind when discussing the films of this visionary.
