Matt Lucas sent us in the following about another upcoming film about Star Wars:
Just in case no one has alerted you to this Star Wars-related news, the official website for Patrick Read Johnson's upcoming film, 5-25-77, has been updated with a number of still photos and production photos. For those who don't recognize the title [shame on you], it's a reference to opening day of Star Wars [later known as A new Hope]. The autobiographical film tells the story of wannabe-filmmaker Pat Johnson, who manages to meet a bunch of guys like John Dykstra and special effects legend Douglas Trumbull. Oh, and he runs into someone named Steven Spielberg as well. These guys are working on two separate movies that would end up being known by the world as Star Wars and Close Encounters of the Third Kind. As Johnson himself has said, the film is actually similar to the story of Luke Skywalker, in that it's about a young man who feels far removed from where he feels he should be, and what happens when he begins to make up his mind whether to leave home to follow his dreams or not.
