It has been a while since we brought you updates on the Star Wars Trading Card game. In the last month there has been quite a bit of new content players will want to check out over at the Official SWTCG site, including a substantial update to the banned and restricted card list. See the links below for more information.

In other SWTCG news, the tenative release date for the Rise of the Empire expansion is August 5, 2005. The set contains 110 cards, is based around the events between Episode 3 and 4, and will introduce a new game mechanic allowing skillful characters to parry incoming attacks.
