Maureen Ryan of the Chicago Tribune recently posted a new article on the current state of production of the forthcoming live-action Star Wars series. Some of the info in the article, we already know. (set between Eps III & IV, bounty hunters and minor characters, gritty...) The info of particular interest is as follows:
'"They are working with writers on scripts," a Lucasfilm representative said in response to a query. "They won't set a production date [for Season 1] until the scripts are done."
But work on the unnamed show's scripts appears to be at an advanced stage -- which isn't surprising, considering the writing of the live-action show began two years ago.
Could that mean that the live-action series, which has no network home yet, could swing into production some time in the next year? After all, some fan sites seem convinced that the TV show will debut in 2011, but Lucasfilm isn't saying."
Contrary to interweb rumors, casting has yet to begin and won't until scripts are complete. Click here for the full read and, as always, we'll keep you posted as we hear more.
