Our friends at io9.com posted a news story this morning in regards to the highly anticipated live action Star Wars television series. Here's a quick clip:
"The possible heavy on the Fett series, which has been casting for the Rebel Alliance, is rumored to be in preproduction in Australia, right now."
They go on to mention LFL hitting the 2010 mark for launch. I tend to think 2012 at the earliest if we're lucky. Remember that George now has 3 individual Star Wars television series he is working on that we know of. For him to drop everything to concentrate on live action doesn't make sense in my opinion. Who knows, perhaps he'll remember my suggestion of Kyle Newman to direct the series, while he maintains the hub in San Francisco, overseeing all of his current projects.
UPDATE: Check out this article from SciFiNow.co.uk that suggests that the first writer has been selected for the live-action series:
"Currently, the favourite to be announced as one the TV series? scribes is Australian TV producer and writer, John Edwards. If appointed, Edwards, who has been responsible for a clutch of successful domestic shows, including Out Of The Blue and Fireflies, will likely find himself under intense scrutiny from the most dedicated fanbase in the world."
UPDATE #3: This may not be much in the way of an update, but SciFiNow.co.uk posted an article that refers to The ForceCast and some of Jason & Jimmy's comments on the live action TV series!
The "ForceCast Factor" continues to expand - way to go guys!
