Live-Action Series In Pre-Production?

Posted By Mike on May 30, 2009

From our friend Tagne at the French fan site StarWars-Universe.com:

"Just to tell you I discovered this week an interesting document on the Screen Autralia website in which the Star Wars live-action is listed as in pre-production since this month. We also can see they have planned to produce at least 100 episodes. You can see a screenprint of the document on my news here.

I also contacted Screen Australia to have more information about this update and a representant told me: "It is expected that the production of the Star Wars series will be soon. As you can appreciate things can change daily in the film industry. We recommend that you get in contact directly Lucasfilm."

So, I emailed Lucasfilm and they told me "The live-action series is still too far off for any immediately impending announcements, but feel free to keep checking in!"

Nothing being a scoop here, but it seems the production of the show is really moving forward in the background... and Lucasfilm doesn't seem to want to tell anything until there is an official annoucement..."

Thanks Tagne! Any news is good news at this point. More as we hear it!
