It's been quite a while since we heard anything about George Lucas' upcoming film about the Tuskagee Airmen of WWII, Red Tails. As was noted on a recent episode of the ForceCast, scoring for the film by Terence Blanchard is scheduled to begin soon in Prague and now it looks like we may have a release date time-frame. The release date news comes via a tweet by Red Tails director Anthony Hemingway:
"...BTW, Red Tails hits screens January 2012."
This hopefully comes as good news to those looking forward to the film. It had been reported that filming was completed back in July of 2009 and then there were reshoot reports dating back to February of 2010. We've been waiting for some sort of release date news for quite some time. There's been no official announcement made but at least this points to a light at the end of the Red Tails tunnel. As always, we'll keep you posted.
UPDATE: Our friend Adjua sent over the following update regarding an interview we missed from last month...
"This interview aired on the Today Show?s 4th hour back in May. Toward the end, Cuba confirms that he?s seen footage of the film, and that it will be out in the winter."
Thanks Adjua! Seriously, how long is the Today Show now anyway?!?
Rebelscum Breast Cancer Awareness Charity Patch Posted By Philip on November 25, 2014: Thanks to everybody that ordered patches. I sent a check for $1,600.00 to the National Breast Cancer Foundation on Monday. While it's not as much as I hoped for, it's still very much appreciated. They will remain for sale in the store for anybody that still wishes to purchase them. Details after the jump.
