While we've already posted about the "Signs of War" trailer and the new international release date for Star Wars: The Old Republic (Dec. 20), there was other NYCC coverage to be had for the upcoming MMO. DarthHater.com looks to have the most comprehensive coverage via their TOR panel live-blog. Darth Hater also shared TOR Q&A coverage duties with MMORPG.com in another live-blog which can be viewed here. We've embedded Darth Hater's main panel highlight video below but make sure to follow the Q&A coverage link if you'd like to view the full Q&A panel.
In addition, Ology.com got hands on with The Old Republic and have posted their first impressions. Here's an excerpt of the overall summary:
"SW:TOR was fun, but not revolutionary. It's very intuitive and pretty, but at it's core, it's not that different from the other MMOs on the market. The quests, which I had been very excited for, were pretty much your standard issue tasks with some good writing on top. My only major concern is their reliance on cutscenes to tell the story. Sure, it's pretty - but how will it affect interactions with other players in the MMO world?"
These are some of the first coverage posts to come out of New York Comic Con. We'll be sure to update this post with more coverage links once everyone who attended collectively catches their breaths and gets their coverage online. In the meantime, here is "Signs of War" in case you missed it.
Rebelscum Breast Cancer Awareness Charity Patch Posted By Philip on November 25, 2014: Thanks to everybody that ordered patches. I sent a check for $1,600.00 to the National Breast Cancer Foundation on Monday. While it's not as much as I hoped for, it's still very much appreciated. They will remain for sale in the store for anybody that still wishes to purchase them. Details after the jump.
