Surprise, surprise, surprise! Our fun-loving family the Tenutos lets us know that none other than "The Maker" himself George Lucas was in attendance this past weekend at the Star Wars: In Concert performance at the United Center in Chicago!
The Tenuto family was there as well and had a great time at the show.
See the intro from an article posted on ChicagoTribune.com that reports on the concert, and then click HERE for the full read.
"If you were backstage at the United Center on Sunday morning, before the matinee performance of "Star Wars in Concert," you noticed: 86 members of the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra; a golf cart whizzing past with Ewoks dangling off the back; one Chewbacca; one Darth Vader; several Stormtroopers; Anthony Daniels, who played C-3PO (and has served as host and narrator on each of the tour's five dozen stops); and, if you paid especially close attention, the man himself, George Lucas.
According to Daniels, this was the second time Lucas had seen the show -- once in London, once here. Lucas, however, was a quiet presence -- indeed, so quiet the promoters and even some United Center management said they had no idea Lucas would be there, let alone why."
Rebelscum Breast Cancer Awareness Charity Patch Posted By Philip on November 25, 2014: Thanks to everybody that ordered patches. I sent a check for $1,600.00 to the National Breast Cancer Foundation on Monday. While it's not as much as I hoped for, it's still very much appreciated. They will remain for sale in the store for anybody that still wishes to purchase them. Details after the jump.
