Visit the Official Starwars.com Blog for some pics and coverage of the San Francisco premiere of Fanboys!
In addition, Scott M. of the Rebel Legion sent over the following report:
"A special premier screening of Fanboys was held in downtown San Francisco tonight at the AMC Theatres inside the Metreon. That?s right, it?s finally here! Costumed members from the Rebel Legion, Jessica and Scott, and the 501st Legion, Bryan and David, were in attendance to greet the crowd, mingle and take pictures. Plus, Chris from the R2 Builders Club brought the ever impressive chick magnet, R2-D2. After dealing with security?s no mask issue, we found our way to the third floor and proceeded to walk the theatre lobby, talk with the crowd and pose for a dizzying amount of pictures. Many of the theatre goes had no clue why we were there, but were more than happy to jump at the chance for pictures. As expected, R2 stole the show, even mesmerizing a newborn who?s mother couldn?t stop smiling.
Then, after years of waiting, the doors opened and the theater quickly filled. Kyle Newman gave a brief introduction to the film and we all sat back and enjoyed his engaging comedy of Star Wars admiration. The film is quite funny and packed with as much heart as it is cameos, just look at the list. It moves at a perfect pace and has a great sense of what it is and whom it?s for, it doesn?t disappoint. After the film, the audience was treated to a Q&A with Kyle Newman, Dan Pulick, Chris Marquette, Dan Fogler and Jaime King-Newman. They shared fun anecdotes and got quizzed on their own levels of Star Wars fanaticism. We took a few more pictures with the cast then headed out to get changed. The after party was great but the club was so small that R2 had no room to work his mojo, so he left early. The rest of us all hung out for a while and enjoyed the company of other unashamed fanboys. For certain, it will be a night long remembered.
In conclusion, I won?t give up any spoilers, except, these five words that should get every guy out there to see this film?Kristen Bell as Slave Leia."
UPDATE: Our friend Matt ("JedHead") sent over a report from another Fanboys event in San Francisco...
"Well, for the 2nd night in a row, there was an event for Fanboys in San Francisco. This time it was for the SF Indie Film Festival, in which the film was to kick off the festival. The Rebels from Endor Base and the Imperials from the Golden Gate Garrison converged at the Victoria Theatre in San Francisco at about 8 pm to greet patrons waiting to see the film. We also got to encounter surprised people coming out of the previos screening, who exited seeing Star Wars characters! Needless to say, we were a hit with everyone, and of course, R2-D2 got all the photo ops with the ladies!
Later, before the film began, we were greeted by the director, Kyle Newman, and cast members Jamie King, Dan Fogler, Sam Huntington, and Chris Marquette. We were hoping for Uncle George and his son Jett to make his appearance, but it looks like they either couldn't make it, or he used a back door.
There was an after-party at 11 pm, to which some members had a fun time. It was a nice and short event, and I think everyone had a great time."

They will remain for sale in the store for anybody that still wishes to purchase them. Details after the jump.
