Doug says: "I'm not sure if there is a story behind this print, but here goes. I wasn't sure I would be able to go to Celebration, I didn't think my schedule would allow me to go. My partner in crime on the Star Wars Dark Times book over at Dark Horse comics, Randy Stradley, convinced me the I should make the trip, and so began the thought process on what I should submit to Lucasfilm for my print. While chatting with Randy about Dark Times, he came up with a great idea to have Darth Vader looming over Das Jennir riding his beastie from Star Wars Dark Times: Out of the Wilderness. I immediately began thumbnailing the print in between my paid gigs. I did a painted sample and sent it to Lucasfilm for approval. The print was approved, but after a few conversations and some serious thought, I felt I needed to do something different, something that had more of a relationship to the Films and the Dark Times era, and that's when the idea evolved into what has become my print, "THE BAD GUYS" "The Bad Guys" celebrates the bad guys of the prequels, From the Emperor to the Count. It was great fun to paint!
