Besides the normal new episode previews, reviews and guides, we have a few TCW related links and tidbits you may find interesting this fine winter weekend.
Voice actor, Phil Lamarr recently spoke with Newsarama about his work on Futurama and touched on what he has coming up on The Clone Wars as well. It should come as no surprise but look for Bail Organa to pop up this season following his initial appearance in "Hostage Crisis" (S1 Ep. 22). In case you forgot, Lamarr also voices Kit Fisto. Check out the excerpt below but click here for the full interview which also features a brief discussion of Ahsoka's unknown fate. Excerpt below:
"Nrama: So what's going on with Star Wars: The Clone Wars?
Nrama: Anything you're allowed to tell me?
Lamarr: [laughs] Yeah, that's what I'm thinking, because they're serious about their non-disclosure. We don't get to keep the scripts. Like, if you forget to bring it...they send you a script at home and you bring it back. One time I forgot my script at home, and they said, 'Here. This is a FedEx packet. When you get home, put it in this and send it.' They're not messing around. But we're having a lot of fun on Clone Wars. Now, what can I tell you? The new season has a shift. The stuff that Dave Filoni is doing...he's taking it to a slightly darker place, because we're heading towards the third movie, where things get bad. And this is paving the way. Specifics? A lot of senate intrigue, which is good for me, because I'm playing Bail Organa. [laughs] But Dave is smart enough to know...nobody wants to see senate votes. So he's really taking those issues and personalizing it to Padme (Catherine Taber), and giving them action elements as well. "
Collider provides a video interview with screenwriter Craig Titley who worked on the newly released film, Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief. Before they get into that material though, The Clone Wars comes up since he's written a couple episodes. Titley chats about writing for The Clone Wars, being at Lucas Ranch and what it was like to meet George. Click here to watch the video interview. The Star Wars related portion is in the first 5 minutes. (Thanks Stephen!)
Last, but not least, Overthingkingit.com is doing exactly that with The Clone Wars. If you're interested in an article about "the bittersweet dramatic irony" of TCW that also compares the series with The Iliad, then click here. (Thanks Matt!)
Rebelscum Breast Cancer Awareness Charity Patch Posted By Philip on November 25, 2014: Thanks to everybody that ordered patches. I sent a check for $1,600.00 to the National Breast Cancer Foundation on Monday. While it's not as much as I hoped for, it's still very much appreciated. They will remain for sale in the store for anybody that still wishes to purchase them. Details after the jump.
