It appeared as if MegaCon would have zero Star Wars guests at this year's show in Orlando, FL. Thanks to the Doctor Who fan group Hurricane Who, that is not the case! Read their official announcement below:
We are pleased to announce our Launch Party for this year?s MegaCon Convention. Taking place at Cricketers Arms Pub on Thursday, March 24th, we kick off Orlando?s Spring Convention Event in style.
Joining us on that evening is a man who is no stranger to Sci-Fi, even if you don?t recognize his face. From Doctor Who to Hex, Star Wars to The Fifth Element? our Guest has seen it all? Alan Ruscoe.
Alan has been one of the Men Behind The Masks for Years in the Doctor Who Universe and Beyond. Ruscoe appeared as an Auton in the Doctor Who episode ?Rose? in 2005 alongside Christopeher Eccleston and Billie Piper. Ever Since then he appeared in numerous episodes of the Series, including his role in ?The Waters of Mars?.
In 1999, Ruscoe appeared in Star Wars: The Phantom Menace in three separate roles, including Bib Fortuna. Alan returned in 2002 for Attack of the Clones, in which he played Lott Dod.
We look forward to hearing all of the insight that Alan brings from his very unique place in the Universe of Science Fiction.
Autograph collectors, be sure to stock up on photos from Official Pix before the show! Here's a few samples of the various characters that Alan played in The Phantom Menace:
Rebelscum Breast Cancer Awareness Charity Patch Posted By Philip on November 25, 2014: Thanks to everybody that ordered patches. I sent a check for $1,600.00 to the National Breast Cancer Foundation on Monday. While it's not as much as I hoped for, it's still very much appreciated. They will remain for sale in the store for anybody that still wishes to purchase them. Details after the jump.
