File this one under "T" for "tenuous," but FilmBuffOnline claims that one of their readers asked Billy Dee Williams if he'd be playing Lando again in Episode VII and received this response:
[H]e has been asked, but hasn?t decided if he is going to do it or not yet.
Williams has previously said that he would "love to" return to the role, but it's always possible that something came up since he said that.
Based on Williams' comments at Emerald City Comic-Con two weekends ago (where he said that he hadn't yet been approached), FilmBuffOnline surmises that Williams was contacted in the past week, prior to this past weekend's Monster Mania event, where the FBO reader got this response. It's Official: Star Wars Episode VII Rolls Cameras May 2014 Posted By Philip on March 18, 2014: StarWars.com has posted the news that the cameras will roll on Episode VII in May 2014. The release also goes on to say, "It has also been confirmed that Star Wars: Episode VII is set about 30 years after the events of Star Wars: Episode VI Return of the Jedi, and will star a trio of new young leads along with some very familiar faces. No further details on casting or plot are available at this time." More after the jump.
